Actually, both the air intake and the intake manifold are also different.

I mean, not that I'm paying attention or anything.

I think it's a shame because if they cannot sell these few Mugen Si, then I think Honda's going to take it as a bad sign for the Civic CTR.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
I agree wholeheartedly with that assesment. I think the lackluster sales of this Si will pretty much but an Axe to any future R shot we might have had. I sure hope we are wrong but I doubt it.

They're the ones who messed up and didn't give a batch of CTRs a chance, instead gave us a cosmetic upgrade of a Si Civic, I believe if they DID give the CTR a chance here they would have sold out quickly... even at the same price. I do think you're right though, HOA will look at this and frown upon bringing another R chassis here, which isn't right at all, the 2 cars aren't even in the same category... (In OUR eyes)

Ok, here is the start Cory:
The Mugen DC5 dead pedal install into an EK:

For those you dont know, King states that this will fit with slight modification, so I decided to give it a whirl. I bit off a little more then I can chew. Factory dead pedal comes out easy with the (2) 10mm bolts holding it.
The angle of the floor/wall is definitely different in the EK then in the DC5, the DC5 seems a whole lot more mellow and when I just set the dead pedal in there, there was a gap. You can also see that it sits pretty vertical.

Then there is the whole issue of mounting the thing. There arent any holes obviously to mount it because it isnt intended for this car so I am going to have to improvise. Once I have the carpet and all the plastics out (which I have to remove anyway to prep for my cage) I'll try and devise a better way of making this work. I would like to get it in the car at this angle:

Regardless, I just thought i'd show you guys what it might be like if yout try this. I should have my end results up mid-next week because I am finally done this semester and have a little free time, I'd do it this weekend but I gotta work on the daily and my brakes on the EK. The rest will be up then. And dont judge the dirty clutch pedal there were ****** leaves everywhere at my house

I'm going to check it out, a small hole and a rivet or two seems like it'll do the trick, or even a button head screw.
But IMO that looks way too close to your clutch pedal for me to want to do that, looks hazardous in the event of tracking. I'll check it out to see how much room I have.

It really isnt that close and I planned on having the dead pedal sit a little lower anyway. I sat in my seat and hit the clutch and all and it wasnt bad, I didnt hit the dead pedal once...we'll see
