haha much love man

randos at 20$ are at chari and co, but u have to get them at their black friday pricing or something. they are normally like 28$.

randos in 28c are also more close to 25c as i measured them and they are actually thinner than 25c armadillo elites.

23c is great for actual riding, for commuting and "skidding" i use 28c randos because those have more life than anything else i've owned. I also dont like the feeling of skidding through 60$+ gators

i'm sure the gators were cheaper than the randos (at $28). no shipping or tax from PBK in UK. i wont be skidding on them, they're for my fake roadie fixed bike. =P i have a front brake. i'm no hipster.

i wish i would have traded you for that HED. =\ oh well.

there's some slack in the chain, not visible tho. i don't like sagging chain.

o-mi-gah! 12.5 lbs!!

i get my frame, fork, headset today. it's raw finish but i'm getting it powder coated red.

i need some help from anyone willing to lend a hand. i'm pretty much set on purchasing the Sugino 75 crankset but i'm having trouble deciding on a bottom bracket. everything i've read has said to just get the 75 bottom bracket bc it matches the crankset. my concern is that it's not sealed and this bike is bound to see rain and other crap. what do you guys recommend? and i'm not liking the idea of spending $100 on a BB either. lol

sug75 cranks are nice , i had bought them used off ebay for 150$ + 48t sug75 chainring.

I bought a new sug75 bb. That bottom bracket gave me alot of problems. In the fact that it was either too tight or too loose. When the bottom bracket had the ideal amount of
"taughtness" it made the shell of my ftp PING loudly with every pedal motion from my drive side.

The only way to stop the ping was the tighten the bottom bracket DOWN, but i had fears of pitting the races of the spindle. I dont mind looseball at all. General maintenence for any bike is expected especially if the bike is being rained on or dailyd. I take my bike apart completely every month because i like to degrease, regrease, clean everything.

I personally like sugino stuff, but i didn't have a great experience with the bb. A couple friends of mine who could care less about JIS vs ISO tapers bought the sealed shimano un53 (i think or un73) bottom bracket and haven't had any complaints for 2 years. still spins aite. and those were like 20$

Thank Nate! I'll probably contact a lbs to ask their opinion. They'll probably push for the 75 BB bc its more expensive than a Shimano. =\

I am very much a DIY'er so I like your idea of getting a quality and matching BB and maintaining it monthly (or every 2 months perhaps).

In any case, the Leader frame, fork and FSA headset have arrived. Going to call the powder coater to see if I can drop it off today. Still need to get a damn crankset tho!

can someone tell me ur opinions on this bike...i just want it to cruise around my house nothing speacial..i know its not a fixie but can easily be converted right?...and my budget is $250 or less...i found this SE Draft for $175....what do you guys think??

http://www.junkyrustybikes.net/produ...a69pnpnura9br4

how is this bike compared to a Motobecane Track? but this one is $275...$100 bucks more than the SE..is it worth it?

http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/...cane/track.htm

and whats the advantage to have a 3 piece crank instead of a 1 piece??

350$ for a kilo TT is the best deal money can buy imho

3 piece vs 1 piece cranks allows the user to have the ability to change the chainring and maintain what he/she has bought. 1 piece cranks are garbage in my honest opinion.

Angle the bars up just a bit. The flat bottom part (drops) should be parallel to the road.
