Makin' my way over from the MTB thread.

Anyway took me a week to read/skim through the whole thread. Looking to get a track bike, to do both commuting and hit up the local velodrome once in a while. Definitely something with a flip flop hub though, for the commute or just in case.

There's a velodrome 20 minutes away from me and it's 1 of 3 in the southeast US, so why not take advantage of it, right??

Either way, still debating on which route to go, Mercier Kilo TT Pro(cheapest), Bianchi Pista(peak price range), or a frame build up(pricier but building is fun). Won't be purchasing it for a couple of weeks, 'til I see actual photos of the new Mercier colors.

not really a big deal about having road drops... but the drops aren't supposed to have the ends pointing at the ground like that. i also have no idea how you ride them without any sort of wrap or grips on there, even with gloves, your sweat seeps through and makes them slippery...

It might be preference , but I have nitto drops that i put on for hilly conditions, and i dont have any kind of wraps on the bars . I think it looks better for one , but them being slippery from sweat doesnt bother me much cause i dont feel like my hands are going to slip off where I have them at.

i always keep it in my wallet , i didnt have it in my pocket, it was in my hand. Somehow , when my leg went over the bars , it hit the card in my hand and snapped the corner off, but right through the barcode .

thats the weirdest part, I wasnt trying to save time by getting my card out while riding ,i was originally standing next to my bike , and was just putting one of my legs on the other side so i would be standing over the bike , but yeah , getting a temporary card tomorrow .

Just a heads up, the next gentei alley cat race will be on halloween , and a costume is MANDATORY!! NO EXCEPTIONS
