I don't do tricks on mine either except the occasional popping manuals once in a while...I mainly use it to go fast. A 10 speed would just confuse the crap out of me even though it makes more sense here since there's a lot of steep streets. I also find them really heavy.

Question: How come Spinergys have clamps on them instead of bolts? Is the purpose of it to be able to remove the wheel fast? If so that might be a good idea for me since I take my front wheel off a lot to mount it on the roof of my car...but at the same time it makes me think how safe/strong they are since it's only a clamp.

(Photo I found is too big so I posted the link instead)

I use a Q/R on my front spinergy just so I can lock it up with my bike if I ever do lock my bike up.

put down 12 miles yesterday.

felt good until the chain popped off and made my rim touch frame had to wealk it to the shop & paid $1 to get it straight.

and rode for another 4 miles.

"fixies" aren't "made" for tricks..

Then you should get a stem that fits a smaller diameter bar.

You can use a quick release on the front if you want, I wouldn't use one on the back though. Track bikes don't normally come with them because they simply arent designed for quick tool-less tire changes on the side of the road.

Hello all. I just got a Kilo TT about a week ago. I've already got about 30 miles on it. It's a really nice bike. I would take pictures of it but hey, it will look like this but with the background of my living room instead :p

I do have a question though. I'm getting use to the bike before I start changing parts. That way I know what really needs to be changed first. Sorta like the "right way to modify for auto-x" but with a bike instead. Anyway, first up for things that need to be replaced is the seat. Long trips just hurt now.

So, what's a nice, comfortable seat? Plus points if it's in color options but black if fine if not.

Also, ECAhatch told me a site a while ago where all their bike parts are quality good parts. Can't remember the shop name. Anyone know? They are kinda like the EvasiveMotorsports version of bikes. (Sure they'd love to know I think that good of them :p)

The saddle (seat) later you'll actually find out it MITE suit you just fine. The first 1-3 weeks you are riding, ANY saddle will be VERY uncomfortable because they aren't broken in yet. Once you start riding more and more, the saddle will eventually form to your ***.
There are many diffenret types of nice saddles, few of the more comfortable ones include Brookes (ugly as **** tho), Turbo, Selle Italia SLR, Fizik, and the list goes on. The SLR and the Fizik are more for track use and are VERY light.
Try going to this site, its a local shop here in Sacramento, but they also have an online store. Everything they have on here is top notch ****.

My Leader has a pretty fat *** downtube. They'll run you about $400 new, for the frame that is.
