Well, the last BIG purchase was made:

Thanks to Hybrid-Racing.com as usual. Hands down they're the best company out there for those swapping (and those not for that matter). I've been using their parts since day one.
My only excuse now is that I need a cordless impact wrench (or compressor to power my air one) to get the damn axle nuts off. Then I can start making progress....

I use a 3/4" ratchet with a long metal pipe stuck on the end of it and can always get them off. The key is to put a dab of anti-seize on them when you put them back on though. The end of your axles tend to get surface rust really quickly.
^ Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I'm replacing the pads and rotors, but I want to get everything off and cleaned up first...

The new motor looks pretty clean inside and no marring on the rockers. The bottom end looks nice and clean and no scoring on the cylinders either.

I got my longblock painted last night and mocked up all the parts. I might have this thing in the car quicker than I planned.

Thanks! I made my mind up on the black on black on black theme for the single cam over 7 years of trying different stuff, so figured I shouldn't mess with it too much. Oddly enough I kinda like the look of the OBD-1 Valve Cover and am going to strip it and paint it gloss black with flat black letters for a spare.
