((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
Got around to installing my wideband this afternoon. Always wanted one, will be of more use when I get it tuned and boost later.
And no, that's not it's permanent mount! Haha.

this

once you test drive it, you'll be sold. I love mine. its the perfect daily imo.
whiteslips, your car is def inspiration for me. although, my last eg was swapped multiple times, id love my new one to remain with the original motor. I kinda wanna just appreciate it for what it is since i miss it so much, i'd def use it to slow down adding miles on the gti. just stick to clean mods and enjoy the car.

Lol. I just don't want to have the basic A pillar gauge pods. I'm thinking about getting a JDM center console to move the head unit down there and then a block off plate on the stock head unit area and then putting this wideband, oil pressure, and water temp in the block off plate. IDK yet.

i need to order a wide band as well im gonna mount mine on top of the column like most people do, i could care less what people say lol id rather be able to see if the car is running safe then look cool. i think mounting it on the block off plate might be a hassle at the track looking down at it then looking back up at ur boost gauge. i thought about mounting it in the same spot.
i wish i could drive my EG daily now (i used to though)... chances of theft is a lil less considering where i park the car during work would be somewhat secure (season pass area in a shopping mall)
but the worry is still there.. even at the secure parking some **** tried to steal my CF spoon style spoiler...failed...but it ended up like THIS
that and also travelling cost in terms of fuel and toll is sky rocketing since i moved to an apartment a lil further away from the office.
this is now my daily..

almost 0 worry about theft...and significant cost reduction...the money for toll a day if i were to drive is enough for fuel for this bike for 2 days...and theres no toll for bikes..heh heh heh

it will include a 5" autogauge(made by autometer) monster tach and shift light. has a small dent in the outer ring but does not effect the function at all.
also included is a autometer 2 5/8ths elec. water gauge again functioning perfectly(includes sender) and for the asking price will include the waterneck pretapped for the sender.
the third hole has been modified to accept a standard 2" gauge(i had my aem wideband in there) could be easily removed to install another 2 5/8ths gauge
pics

i did drill 4 holes in each corner of the pod to mount it to the dash...it stays up ther fine with double sided tape untill its loaded with gauges and it jumps off the dash on the first bump
also has ared led upgrade bulb in the tach cost like 15 bucks but is so much brighter and way easier to see at night, the water gauge has a red nipple over the regular bulb
$200 bucks for the whole set-up plus maybe $20-25 for shipping
gentlemen (and ladies, if any)...need to pick yer brains a lil bit...
First off, the other parts.
B16A head mildly ported and polished and also skimmed
B18C-R cams, valve springs etc etc.
Adjustable Cam Pulleys
Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Super90 70mm Throttle Body
Custom 4-1 Headers with custom 2.5" exhaust
B16A ECU with S2 chip + VAFC
AVS Aluminium Radiator
ARC Thermostat
B20B Block stock sleeves
Supertech 85mm 11.5:1 pistons (block rebored to 85mm obviously)
Brian Crower conrods
ACL bearings
Oil Sump baffle
Block Guard with extra water passages drilled into it.
Engine Balancing
New Honda Timing Belt
New gaskets all around
runs on RON97 fuel
Supertech 11.5 pistons with skimmed head est cr is at 12.5
i know the main weakpoint is the B16A ECU + VAFC.
right now im seriously thinking i wanna stop doing anything else to this engine....wanna start saving up for a K-swap.
so would Crome be suitable to tune this? my current dyno graph is like an earthquake graph and im told its coz of too high compression combined with "small" cams and no ignition tuning.
u can see my dyno graphs here
1/ power only graph
2/ power + a/f (ignore the red line on the a/f)
i still plan to drive the car around and take it to track days... would crome be sufficient? would crome be able to smoothen out the rough engine? would it be reliable enough for track days?
i dont wanna go hondata coz as mentioned, K-swap.
so pls do gimme thoughts and opinions.

Crome will work fine. I made 217whp at one point while on crome. But for some reason its not syncing with my current setup. Since my Hondata S300 took a ****, now I'm on a Hondata s200

Well guys... sad day today. I no longer have my si
A guy gave me an offer I couldn't really turn down. I already miss it, and kinda question if I should have even done it. I guess it's too late now lol, so...oh well.
Keeping my eyes peeled for an EP3 now. Those seem harder to find in a decent shape then EG's that are close to 20yrs old haha. Ugh...

that gauge setup is hectic haha, havent seen one like that for a few years.
I just run a defi din gauge setup in the factory radio din slot under the ac controls. Nice and clean.
