I feel bad saying I don't like them because so many people have spent their hard earned money on them. To me it's styling that expresses individuality in the same way a Nissan Cube does. Although it is one of the best selling cars in Japan but there's no denying the design is harsh and even trendy. But although the EG expresses individuality also, it does it in an attractive way, it's a classic and timeless hatchback design, one of the very best. Even the Mk5 GTI looks like a big EG hatch, what a complement to a 16 year old car. My point is that I don't think the harsh styling blends well with the smooth and classy EG hatch. Wheels are allowed to be edgy on a smooth car, look at the 458 Italia. But a great looking body doesn't need fixing.

thats so true, honestly I missed having my eg the way it was in the other pics the body, the look it was so clean, classy, & timeless. But the BYS is hit or miss for anybody I bought it cause it was so different and the obvious ugly I knew I just wanted it haha and after a week I was pretty much sick of it just something I always wanted and happy I have it but not something I would keep. Its nice for me to keep reinventing my cars keeps me loving them and still in the Honda game (12yrs strong).

Word. The body style is timeless. I feel the EG hatch and MKIV Golf/GTI were the only proper hatchbacks (I've owned numerous of both ). It seems nowadays all these car companies are fucking up their hatchbacks, and it's sad.

 

lol its just a wing guys, it doesn't ruin the car - can be taken off in 2 mins. Its a quality item made by a company who doesn't copy anyone. Ill always support a company like that.

Looks are subjective for sure, but I enjoyed rocking one on my hatch, was a bit cheeky even. Good to mix it up.

I want to know about that rear diffuser as well. For those who don't fancy such an "agressive" rear diffuser, HOP makes one for the oem bumper

 

Then you really don't know what you're missing. (The MK4 dub was the blandest of them IMO. The Mk1 and Mk2 being amazing.) I am impressed with the current Mk6 and I had a Mk3 VR6 (the start of my hatch addiction).

That's how I feel too.... The less exterior mods on EGs the better I think. Nice set of wheels, OEM lip, OEM spoiler, some mirrors and you are good to go.

and for those asking its a seibon CF rear diffuser, its one off to my understanding I needed something to compliment that hideous wing haha

You bring up a good point. I absolutely love Mk1's and Mk2's, I guess I just didn't think about them haha. Not a big fan of Mk3's or Mk5's though. Mk6's are cool if they're done right.

I used to have an MK1 GTI, that car was soooooo much fun and it took a BEATING lol I was lucky to find one in black with blue interior.......the red interior is a deal breaker lol
