Do you think it is worth it to look more and spend more to get a 92-95 civic hb si or just get a cx, dx, exc.

Any opinions are appreciated.

 

^ Depends on your situation. If your a cruiser, the sunroof is a plus. I honestly regret not getting a SI. But if your trying to be "Mr. Fast Guy" then go for a CX for it being the lightest model EG.

 

Thanks that helps... so the si eg is the only one with a sunroof? and cx is the lightest so does that mean it does not have a/c and p/s. I want a faster car but a practical car for commuting to school and work. So i want to get a/c and p/s so i have a more comfortable ride lol.

Yes, CX does not have A/C or P/S. Nor does it have Power Options like the SI. An SI comes with a Z6 which isn't all that terrible. Always leaves the option of single turbo!

 

Ya I know it is going to take me forever to find an si in good condition (modified or not). I am willing to spend some good money (up to 6.5k (moded))but one of the big things that i really need in the car to have a/c and p/s lol so i guess the cx model is out of the question unless someone installed it.

With $6500, you shouldnt have a problem finding a nice EG SI.

I had your same thoughts and budget I literally looked for a clean title black si for over 6 months. I wanted an si for the obvious sunroof and its features. My goal was to run a SOHC turbo and still have a/c & p/s for a clean, legit, reliable, and most of all comfortable DD...well I ended up with a cx model with a fully built b16 no a/c and p/s of course. The rear is completly gutted with an xbar and barley drive it once a week haha go figure!

Thanks, I do want the sunroof but it is not a deal breaker. But I NEED an A/C and P/S because it will be my daily driver and hopefully a little bit of a track car. I just need to find an engine that will pass smog in CA lol and have a reliable and fast car.

 

pretty sure 92 cx/vx weigh the same @ 2092. My **** must be heavy because gutted with me and front seats weigh 2200. Or i'm just fat lol

Oh alright cool cool . I might have to start lookin for a CX shell now, VX's are just hard to come across around here.

 

So is the si the heaviest of the eg models? I know it has a 1.6L and the others have 1.5L's but the si is the fastest correct? I have no clue and I'm looking to get the best eg.
