Quick Question ... i wanna remove the side cover on my motor so i can see the cam gears... do i need to take the valve cover off

 

You could probably use one made for a c5

 

You just want to take that plastic timing cover off? No, you dont need to take the VC off to take that off.

Yeah man it looks like its just those 2 bolts. The middle cover pops off from the lower cover. That you gotta remove the crankshaft pulley for but you dont need to remove it for the middle cover to come off.

 

ya i just dont want my middle cover on anymore ... and thank you =]

 

Well guys I told myself I wasn't gonna work on it before IA but damn I was just in the mood. Busted out the swap in 2 nights, about 8 hours each or so. Tuesday my car was powered by an OBD0 D15. Now it's OBD2 B18C powered. F yes! Feels soooooo good.



Please don't mind the silly stock GSR TB pulley/throttle cable. ITR bracket and cable will be here next week. (D series EG throttle cable works perfect with the GSR bracket though FYI, just looks dumb)
