Thanks fellas. Come on up Scotty. Would love to show ya around and introduce you to some cool people. Hit me up dude. I think I PMed you my number already.

X2! Cant go wrong with a K seriesssssssss!!!!
I dont really understand why people dump so much money into their car, yet leave the single cam in there. Do they like having to downshift to go up hills and struggling to keep up with traffic and/or merging on the highway?
For me- Dumping money in to my house > dumping money in to an engine.
I decided about 4 years ago that putting money in to a property is way more important than dumping money in to something that loses money daily. I'm perfectly fine with going to 4th gear to go up a hill as apposed to dropping $5,000 on an engine for a car that I drive twice a month....

I agree i mean come on k swaps are chhhheap nowadays and at the very least a gsr swap is couple bucks
I agree with WhiteSlips
I dont see a problem leaving the single cam in. Its really not that serious downshifting to go up a hill.

A solid Hmotors GSR swap is around $3,500 once you get all the maintenance items addressed (t-belt, plugs, water pump, oil pump, etc). That's with no other hiccups or problems which we all know doesn't happen. I refuse to buy a private partie's used B-Swap locally since more than likely it's been stolen more than once and rebuilt by retards at least once.
A solid K20 swap is going to run in the $5,000-$6,000 range. The swap itself isn't that bad, but after K-Pro, axles, wiring harness, shifter box, swap header, exhaust, ps/ac removal kit etc. you are looking at some serious money.
I'd rather put that $5k in to say windows or hardwood floors that will double or triple my money when I sell my house. Let me know if you double or triple your money on your k-swap. Maybe I'm just getting old.....

That's what it is and that's not a bad thing per say. I don't slight anyone for any choices. It's all relative. Investing in a car that brings you joy and enables you to have a good time at various events or just driving in general has a value. If it costs you more to get there or takes you longer, doesn't matter.
If your house is newer and doesn't really "need" anything, then it's moot.
Either way, no one has to understand anything about someone else's car. That just doesn't make sense. I'm sure MOST people don't understand why we're all not investing this extra car money into funds and IRAs for our future...

Yea I got your number I will for sure hit you up! Will be good to meet some like minded people. Just been super busy I sign my lease tues. and fly back to seattle on wed. for a week unexpectedly. Im thinking of having my car shipped out here when I go home for the week but just have to see how it goes.
This is a touchy subject for me since I've wanted a swap pretty bad for the last 6 years. It just doesn't make sense to me to spend thousands of dollars on a bad investment unless you just have disposable income to spend.

I care for criticism but it won't necessarily change much if I don't see it fit! Regarless, its nothing wild, can't hate on this lol.
Nah dawg, thats like so 99, I'm doing an evader bodykit with JDM foglights and mesh grill
Exactly! **** on K20a I've seen complete turn key swaps go for super cheap lol.
Thats cool, fixing up a house is definitely a nice thing to do as well. Im not gonna knock you on that. But swaps arent all that expensive. They are going to be if you buy from say Hmotors or whatever, but you can find legit swaps (both B and K series) on forums for a lot cheaper than you think. You may think its still nice to have a D series in your car, but once you put something bigger in it you'll enjoy your car more.

So, what you are saying is to buy an engine on a forum with no warranty that I've never heard/seen run and hope that after I spend a good amount of cash to get it in the car that it actually starts and drives? How do you know the swap hasn't been beat on hard and had a 100shot of nitrous blasted through it numerous times? Also how do you tell if they are legit or not? Just too many what ifs and money on the line to go cheap and buy a swap that I have no idea is good or not...... I'm getting back to the old geezer thing again.
