Nick, as if this thread wasn't homo enough god damn man LOL JK

well ****** looks like I'm gonna be seriously stepping up the turbo game soon enogh.....the new Elbow and DP will be made with V-band flanges, and possibly out of SS (but most likely just mild steel .....the SS flange alone is 40, MS is only 10 ) as for the manifold I'm thinking the spooling performance quick 4 or something comparable with an external WG option

will be orderign the oil restrictor tonight or tommorrow as well to help not drown the turbo in oil

later when I have the turbo rebuilt, I'll port the housings, upgrade the wheel and eliminate the internal WG

haven't heard of AFI and full race is WAY overpriced and too high end for what I'm looking to do(max of 250ish WHP on lowest boost possible AFTER I build up the motor with some LS rods and vitaras)

Aside from the wait when they moved shop last year or something, ask MAFDARK how the manifold and downpipe looked when he got them. They do some top notch work here in AZ, and are behind most of out sub-11sec cars

I hear all sorts of stories of people's manifold [freak]ing them (anyone remember VIVII when one of the AZSols members literally blew his in half at 125mph coming into town? lol). I guess you have to see them making the manifolds in person at AFI or FR to really appreciate the R&D and effort that goes into them

I totally agree with you, however in my case I think spending 1K on a mani. is absolutely absurd since it's such a low power project..... I also want something at least a little better than the heavy POS log that's there right now....I'm guessing I can eliminate about 15-20lbs by going from cast iron mani and elbow to SS or MS as well as get a huge jump in spool up and power
