The parts on my car that make it go fast make it look good.

What do people notice on it? wide *** tires, roll bar, front mount, 9lb wheels...

agreed

going fast and looking good while doing it
isn't that the best of both worlds?

guess its a catch 22 (think i'm using the that term/expression right...)

same thing with a street car or a race/track car too

some only care about one or the other which is fine

but what i don't get is a fully built motor thats just driven to car shows (very slowly and cautiously) and never down the track???

not hating but just wondering??? money's not an issue i guess and why not have it all? bragging rights? stuff to put on the spec sheet? include a dyno sheet along with trophies to display? judged don't check internals now do they?

wray --- 14.1 was at like 9 psi. i had a vac line kinked right off my boost controller. only noticed it the next day. would have been bad if i kept turning up the boost, but i have never hit 12psi in the car yet. 11 i am sure at least once. but not 12.

didn't help that my vac line to my GM3bar was barely holding on. i apparantly had a major vac issue that day but was too hyped/busy getting as many runs in as i could (first time on a drag strip, got 10 runs in on a major event day)

all in all, it's like Will said. the power is there as seen in the traps, i just need the seat time and some traction. LOL

Anyone has a nice pic of a Sol (Interior) stripped and painted? I want to see on how it looks like but I don't think many Sols would strip cause there aint no backseats lol.

Figured i would post some pics since i finally got my car back on the road. I blew a head gasket 3 days after i bought it. I then pulled the head off and notice the old owner had the cam caps on the wrong way and scared the cams. Got some machine work done on it and now its running and running well. appearance is the big thing i want to put into it. I want a paint job. It took forever to get some shine back in the paint. Also i want to replace the head lights and clean up the engine bay. Any suggestions for headlights/bulb kits, or replacement for a short ram intake. I am keeping it a N/a.

ahhh gotcha im not hitting full boost either, idk what it is, gotta look at it still, so my 13.9 was only on like 7psi

damn, thats alot of runs! especially during a event! i got 8 went i went, and it was just another night (slow one though)

your trap isnt bad, especially if that was during the heat of the day, but on full boost, id think you should be trapping more like 110ish.. i should be around 105-106 on a nice cool night, when im actually hitting my full 8.6psi i feel ya though, i still need a bit of seat time, i got my 60' down to a 2.2 on my best run, which isnt bad on street tires, LOL especially when traction is such a big issue cant wait to finally get my radials mounted though lol

Ooh, almost forgot! I am getting a new design on my VC as well.

The guy who is installing engine told me it was white and red.. so I'm not sure what it's gonna be.
