I think the Amuse S2000 GT1 would be much cooler with an N/A K26 than turbo like it is.

One day I will have an S2000 with custom plates that will read:

that s2000 reminds me of seeing a nsx type R
after college, I defintely need to get an S2000!! and amuse knows how to build some sick s2000s

If you where ballin' enough to have an amuse built s2000 you'd be ballin' enough to have a canyon as a backyard and not worry about the po po's. Or a private test track.

I'm trying to rebuild my transmission, might as well put a quaife lsd in this thing since I'm in there. I have to replace syncrhos, a shifter fork an arm and even a whole gear isn't looking to good. Then gotta get an ACT for the thing, then on the side I'm trying to piecing together an oil cooler and after all that is said and done I still have to get the 8pt cage built and installed along with my gauges, harnesses, seats repaint the interior blah blah blah... I give up.

IMO the OBX LSD is a good lower cost option instead of the quaife.
Also look into Competition clutches. I had an ACT and hated it, got a Comp 6 puck and it feels better than stock : )

Before I had my DA, my old car had an ACT street disc and the Heavy-Duty (weakest one) pressure plate. I had absolutely no complaints. It was a great clutch. I agree that it is all about which clutch you choose. Unless you're drag racing, there is no need for anything other than a full faced clutch.

While the Quaife is an expensive LSD, I would find it difficult to buy a cheaply made differential. Cheap wheels maybe, but not an LSD. I've heard too many people complaining about not being able to remove their axles with the OBX LSD for it to be a coincidence.
It looks like you have a 200+ whp setup and will drag race, but I wouldn't recommend a 6 puck clutch to someone that isn't. Quick downshifting with a 6 puck clutch sucks ***, IMO. Full faced clutches for me.

My options are up in the air at this point. I need a stage one clutch, just a step better than stock so it will last. What is the CC clutch 6-puck designed for? What range of power? I don't want something that's designed for way more than what I got which is under 150hp and lb/torque. <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Mattb16teg »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I'm not sure I want to skimp on an LSD. For internals as these I rather have OEM or brand names and know for sure it's a quality part rather than a copy. I just don't trust OBX with my transmission rebuild.

Good point. The price of the competition clutch and the fact that it was 6 puck threw me off. In my case, ACT would be the better option even if it's a bit more expenseive.

I wouldn't call it cheaply made, just an inexpensive alternative : P . LoL and I know at least 10 people in the area that run the OBX LSD without a problem at all. So I guess its all in the builder and what not. A few of those cars are 600 - 800 hp as well.

You are correct in that however I did not recommend, I just gave my .2 cents about my interaction with some clutches. I guess this is also another one of those things. When I rebuilt my tranny I used OBX LSD, Gear speed Syncros, Comp 6 puck and ACT 11lb Flywheel. I must say that combination made it heaven to drive.
Good luck with the rebuild

hmm, that sounds like heaven to me right now. How much did that set-up cost you? What trans are you using?

Hahaha Im having a blonde moment, ys1 tranny.
Hmm Lets see with parts and labor somewhere in the area of $1500 - 2000.
Honestly well worth it IMO.
I rebuilt the trans and got coilovers at the same time, wow!
Totally different car
I drive my DA about twice a week when it runs and weekend track duty.
What will you be using your car for and what kinda power is it making?
