Alright Scholars, I need some help!

After my car was left sitting for about 6 months I got it back up and about. Driving around that night I noticed the thermostat was sticking closed and causing the coolant the push back into the overflow and steam. Well I figured I might as well order an Aluminum rad, fan and new thermostat while I'm at it.

Threw the rad, fan and T stat in one night along with a heater hose which decided to crack at the same time (Lucky timing). After throwing everything in I start it up and it throws a code . At first it threw a code for a temp sensor which I forgot to plug in completely. After I fixed it and cleared the code it threw code 21 Vtec Spool Valve. There is an option in Hondata to disable the spool error check. I checked this and the code went cleared.

Now the only problem is that I have no Vtec. Initially I though I knocked a wire loose or something so I checked all wires and they are fine. I also checked the vtec solenoid which is also fine. I tried various things tonight to no avail. I tried setting the vtec temp minimum to something very low and still no luck. Oil pressure is normal. Oil level is normal. I dont have a Vtec Oil Pressure switch.

If anyone has any other helpful hints that would be GREAT!

My ideas on what looks good with different cars changes a lot... more than i care or have money to actually change.

Most of the **** your bitching about was on... or with the car when i got it.

It had altezzas, which i replaced with red/white oem's.
It had that ugly *** c/f vader hood which i replaced with an oem style c/f hood.
The tach was attached when i got it & was the only working tach. So i left it.
The extinguisher was pointless yes. So i turned it into a 12oz. bottle holder.
THe headlights i actually liked & i needed them cuz i was running a mercedes HID setup in them.
The mirrors i was meaning to replace with OEMs but never did it.
Last time i checked hood pins where for saftey?? maybe im crazy though....
boo hooo the bumper lenses... boo hooo the wings west lip kit...

waaaahhhhhhhhh its purple.... FO YO INFO! It was called black/ivory and it was the sickest fawking purple you would have ever seen.


Another thing. It wasnt turbo when i had it. The new owner of it, turbo'd it.


Screw your 500 dollar a pc. jdm wheels, bumpers, headlights, and mooooogen exhausts.

the header is ebay'd out. i leave in 3 months for the air force so im trying to have as much fun with my car now as i can cuz it'll probly be sitting for a looooong time. ive been hearing ebay headers work well but they have problems with welds and gaskets holding up but i figured i could give it a try cuz i only need it to hold up till july. btw, whats the best cam to use on a stock ls? looking to throw in some cams before i go too.

 

it sucks when you don't have your DA, driving a camry now anyone want to buy a oem optional lip for a 90-91 bumper? i think i might be selling mine, I'm to scared to put it on because someone might rip it off or take my whole car with it

Which one of the ebay headers did you get? I'm thinking about an ebay header myself, I don't need anything fancy. I just can't stand to look at the stock hunk of steel that passes as a header for our cars.

As regards to the camshafts, I heard good things about Crower when doing research on building a non-vtec.

Im running Crower 404 Vtec cams in my motor. Not really what I would call impressive. Looking to upgrade sometime soon.

all my wiring worked. woo woo hahahah



HIDs are in now. ya ya i know its gay without projectors but i don't care. i can see better. i shielded the glare a lot also for other drivers

You wrecked your car for being "spirited" or stupid, I don't know which nor care. And you lost your job. You then settled for a CRV. I wouldn't mind a 5spd CRV but not for my only car. I do talk **** on people's cars but they normally deserve it. I'm just not afraid to say what other people think.
It doesn't make me lame at all. It's not alot of time of my day and be honest, I spend alot of my day very stressed out with the Air Force. I relax anyway I want to. Just because you work for a law firm doesn't make you a lawyer. I have more education in that department with a BS in Criminal Justice so don't try bullshitting with a bullshitter.
