Just because it is expensive doesn't mean it is any good.

Well, the fact that he said "You get what you pay for" and the fact that D2s are expensive doesnt really make sense...

It's just an intake, header, heat wrap, high-flow cat, wheels, tires, and lugnuts. Maybe a few other customized knick-knacks for decoration.

It will still be the same beater-bucket.

I'm not a DA owner so don't flame me too hard, but a buddy of mine is going to be swapping wheels on his DA and needs something temporary to throw on there. All I have are some 13" steelies. They won't clear his brakes, will they?

And while we're on the topic of D2's...

I've owned 5 sets of D2 coilovers, not because of any problems but because:

1. My first hatch, sold the car with them.
2. Got a set for my integra, sold it with them on it.
3. Got another hatch, bought a set for it.
4. Car was stolen and recovered with no parts, bought another set for it
5. Sold that set to a friend, bought myself another set which I ended up swapping onto my current car.

I've YET to experience ANY problems whatsoever with any D2 products. They ride great and have held their own on some testy roads around my area. Lots of pretty well known cars ride on D2 coilovers as well...the late RHanDy Gagan's EF, Mr.PhoKing's Rootbeer EG, PlusONE Randee's EG, just to name a few.
They also are fully rebuildable and serviceable in the US, should you have any problems.

On the topic of D2's,they are just a generic coilover, the same as k/sport,G4's.I'm not trying to defend turbozxi (Peacock),just giving my own opinion.I've driven a few different cars with d2's fitted (Nissan s13,a31 cefiro,c33 laurel,DA integra,Mitsi evo and a few more)and I have to say the ride is absolutely ****,rock hard bouncing around everywhere, and this is on the softest setting, and not fully wound down.

I know for a fact that one of the sales reps for NZ distributor of D2 personally has Tein Flex in his company car.Now what does that tell you?

I don't get how all of you are saying D2's are expensive, they retail here for around NZ$1200-$1300 (and I can get them for around $750 at trade). If you're willing to spend that much on an average set of coilovers you may aswell spend a bit little more and get some Tein Flex's or even just some Super Streets(even though they aren't body adjustable) and the ride will be that much better.

At the moment I'm tossing up between getting D2's ($750+$400 for certification)for my DA or just going EF3 shocks ($250)+ Tein Springs(200).Will definitely be getting a set of D2's for my drift pig Cefiro though

I personally dont believe in the D2, Ksport, etc. Koni w/Ground Control does the job great. Dependable and even with the car slammed daily driver(about 1" clearance on mud flaps after the bottom part has scrapped off) its riding strong. 20K miles on slammed status and its still good to go.
Im sold on them.. wouldnt go with anything else.
