Hey guys I had a problem coming to work today. im sputtering at low rpms then gets better as I go up in rpms. Just happened after I got off the highway, when I went to start from first gear it felt like I was starting in second or third. What do you guys think? dizzy? I have no cel or anything. Any help would be appreciated. I have to drive home from work today I just hope it isnt anything major. I will check the ecu for codes at lunch.

 

Forgot to mention that I was currently running an aftermarket LSD, I was weighing the option of putting a stock diff in with a phantom grip, just cause I'm tight on funds right now. Just have never really heard anything about them, be it good or bad.

just buy an OBX LSD....screw the phantom grip its worthless

Brice, I looked around and couldn't find any for a decent price, I honestly want to save and buy something worth-while but only driving my CL is no fun. Im just itching to get my DA up again.
Any Ideas where I could track down one?
I would just get a new trans but I just built this one like 4k miles ago.

i dont think it has a thing to do with numbers 2 or 3. and as for number 1. please dont neglect the cap/rotor.

actually do those and see what happens. then if it doesn't work, do the cap/rotor. and let me know what happens here or via PM, please.

u are clearly speaking with no experience, sir. i can say, with experience that OBX LSD is NOT a quality differential. they might be alright (at best) for drag, but will blow to pieces if u like to corner hard....

 

ANYONE out there have an Aftermarket LSD in their car? If so what brand and how long have you had it?

I must say I only used the OBX LSD for Drag racing and it blew to pieces so it must blow all around
It lasted probably 10 runs between slicks and radials.

So does everyone else think Phantom Grip is bad?
