Not necessarily, but I just try to spread the knowledge for the next generation of DA enthusuasts, just like my predecessors did for me.

Old enough.

There were the guys that have owned their DAs since the early 1990s. They are the 1st generation of DA enthusiasts. (The OGs)

Then there were the guys that were influenced by the OGs in the mid to late 1990s. I guess I belong to this group. This is the 2nd generation.

Now, we have the people that really don't know much about the 1st generation, and got into DAs in the "post JDM" or post 2005 timeframe. This is the current generation.

 

i was also influenced by the OG's, my first DA g2ic meet i met all them dudes i also thought i was the only black guy who had a DA integra at that time lol

That's a good thing. Since you're in SoCal you have that luxury.

But when I mean being influenced by the OGs, I mean being around back in the day to gawk at Ron Bergenholtz's (ironic that he created this thread) DA back when it was a street car. Back in the days when one piece headlights used to cost $500 and carbon fiber primarily existed on F1 cars and the Space Shuttle

They are my favorite OEM wheels on a DA. Some fairly recent shots of mine.

I never really thought about the OGs and stuff like that.

I got my DA because it was a steal. I bought it from a friend whose brother had owned 2 (including the one I bought) and I always thought they were cool cars. Right before I bought it, I googled different forms of 1992 INTEGRA GS, found G2IC, and the rest is history.

Cool ****, this is the car that got me into cars, and its funny, I look back on all the cool cars my friends brother had.

2 DAs, an AWESOME TT RX7 (new style) and now drives a really sick latest gen accord. He ended up selling his RX7 for $22,000 in cash.

Hes really liked what i've done to my DA so that makes me happy. If I can impress the original guy who got me into cars, then thats all I can ask for.

oooo aight, i just hung around my brother when he had his 96 civic with a b16a2 back in like 2000, man i thought he was the coolest lol, thats how i got into hondas when i kept hearing his car kick into vtec, but i still don't vtec myself

 

i think i just developed a new problem, and i think its the ignition switch, when my car is on or key is in the 2nd position some of my things don't work and i have to jiggle my key in it for things to come on, is this problem the ignition switch?

hahaha ive only seen one other black guy in my area who had a DA and i havent seen him in like over a year.
