Ok guys so here is my problem.


I currently have a JDM B16a in my 90.

It's got Burn rings. cracked oil pan and a ls TPS
So Vtec doesnt work and I get a CEL code 9.... for the tps

Well there is a guy I kno with a B18 with 80K miles on it.
Perfect running condition.

Well We were thinking about trading long blocks.

straight trade. my Burnt B16 for his perfect ls

Id keep the B16 tranny.


But I was thinking tonight. I could
pull the B16 longblock and sell it or part it. and make like 500.

I could easily buy a B18 and even build it.

IDK. Im not asking for you guys to make a choice.

But I wanna kno what you would do.

I enkoy my lil revving motor. and was thinking
about just replacing the rings and slapping in some cams.

Code 9 is not for TPS. Code is cylinder position sensor. You're on honda-tech and didnt know that? Also LS TPS is the same as a B16... expletive, its what I'm using on my engine and I have no issues.

swap in the ls and rebuild the b16 for boost

for $20.

Im parting out the b16.

 

so you paid 20 bucks for an ls motor that doesnt work while you have a b16 block thats bad. Sounds like you got hosed out of 20 bucks.
I would stop buying bad motors and buy one that runs.

 

Got it the other night i had that ssbp with the lsvtec, but anyways, im looking for a buddy club lip and opt fogs, jenko i think can get my the lip any idea on the fogs?

To all the DA owners having Koni/GC set up.

What spring rates are you running and how firm did you set up your koni's? Im in the process of testing each of the settings to make sure it'll ride right for me.
