took apart the old motor today, here is the damage 
the walls are clean, no scratches, or nicks, lsvtec approved, the pistons, rings and valves on the other hand lol

So Im sellin the JDM b16 and keepin the short tranny,
gonna get an ls for now and use the b16 tranny,
Im thinking mid 14's is about right 1/4 times,
What do you guys think?

like 15's.... if your a good driver u can probally pull a 14.9 but low 15's to mid 15s is more like it..

I pulled off a 15.1@ 88mph with my car. Only mod was RS*R Ex-mag catback. Not to mention it was fawking 90 degrees, and humidity was outrageous.
A friend trapped 14.9 @ 90mph with his DA. I/H/E. Thats it.
I think high 14's are possible with the YS1 trans. Especially if he will have bolt-ons on the LS motor. Just hope he doesn't get a slaw motor....nothing sucks more than having a busted LS motor. *shudders*
