i got a DA because i had an EG but someone hit me..and i got 2k from insurance..and needed a car ASAP and found a clean DA for 2k..
i dont have a lip, or skideskirts nor do i have any fake parts..unless you call ksports fake? i drive my car everyday and park it on the street i dont need more bling then just owning a honda/acura itself.

Did you ever think that maybe you don't fit into the category of people that I'm talking about? It doesn't appear that you do, and that's a good thing. There is nothing wrong with buying a DA for convenience.

"to each their own" is the dumbest cliche statement. Its basically saying you can do something stupid but because you did it and maybe like it, its ok.
OG's grow tired of people who show up in a scene they've been a part of for more then a decade and hear/see all the dumb **** the new DA owners do and say.
All of the replica companies and their "cheap"parts make something nice like a classic looking DA look like crap. For those of us who spend the time and money to put quality OEM or aftermarket parts on we grow tired of junk.

I'm coming in late here, but I agree with you full-heartedly. I've loved DA's since they first came out ( I was in high school). I would point every single DA I saw out to my grandma in hopes that she would help me get one. I'm on my 2nd DA now(I'm 30). I have an Xterra as a DD. To this day my grandma still remembers that "little Integra" that I always used to want. It's not just a car to me.

yup, i'm new booty. i'm 19, my brother has owned a DA since 95.. handed down down to me and i ended up purchasing a DB2 because i got into this craze with DAs!!!!i jumped on the bandwagon just like everyone else on honda-tech.!! 
Moving on, I would like to say that it is a very stupid thing to complain about. These cars are so affordable and to some, it's not worth spending extra cash on quality parts. However, those who have the passion for the DA chassis are willing to spend that extra cash because the car actually has a meaning to them. These "posers" as you say....who cares? it's their car, so if you don't like what they're doing with their car, be happy that more and more DAs are going to end up looking like crap and thrown into the junk yard and yours isn't one of them.
