Yes, they are the same. If you pay attention to the part numbers, you will notice that they are identical for all 88-91 civics, and some CRX's. The difference is that the '88 CRX Si uses a boxed in type of LCA, almost identical to the Type-R.

thanks guys.
unfortunately, that's the last pic of my DA when it was up and running...for now, the DA has entered what is known as the "dark-ages"...it's wiped off the face of the earth...i don't think it exists anymore...no pics of it since that last sighting.
i'm hoping that it will rise like a phoenix out of the ashes one day...
for now, i'll just stare at the best DA that still exists out there...

WOW!!!
attention to details is second-to-none!!!
BTW, is that a "roller/spray-paint" job jason???

just wondering, what makes it the best out there?
From the outside, it looks like, well...a DA with Mugen side skirts, 1-pieces, and nice wheels with nice brakes.
Whats under the hood, and the undercarriage?
Im not trying to dis it or anything, just wondering since a lot of people have so much to say about it.

I think there's a Type-R under there if I remember correctly.
What's best is it's not over done! It's well pampered.

well, about 90% of the DA's on here look good in pictures...but when you see it in person, it's a whole different story. pictures can hide A LOT of flaws. most DA's out there are BEAT!
jason's DA does not fall into that category...
there's only a handful of DA's/DB's that are really that stunning in person and i can call at least 3 of them, "good/great friends"...
we didn't just buy these DA's recently and started rebuilding with them...
jason has had his DA since around 93-94 and i've had mine since 91. we try to keep our DA's as original as possible with as many original parts that came on our cars when we bought them...and if we do have to replace a part, we try to buy new oem parts...be it original paint or that little oem 10mm bolt with cadnium coating that the average builder does not even the notice or care about...we're **** about the attention to details. our DA's haven't changed much since the early-mid 90's...just constantly improving little things here and there...
don't get me wrong, our cars aren't flawless, it's just harder to find them since we kept our cars clean from day 1.
we're just too damn passionate about the DA/DB chassis and all 86-2000 hondas in general...

awesome! I fall into the same boat..I'm really obsessive when it comes to keeping my car clean! I'm the 3rd owner of my car..I bought it from a buddy, and it was a hand me down from his aunt.
She babied the hell out of it, barely drove it. When I got it, it barely had 100,000 miles on it, and then I put 30,000 within a year...lol. I have all service records since 1991! It has exactly 6 door dings, and a couple rock chips. It bugs the hell out of that they are there, but it comes with it being the daily driver.

It looks like this now :

I need to get a bumper clip to fix the slight sag on the driver's side. After 16 years, I would think this car would need a respray...I thought wrong

Rock chips I wouldn't touch really. But don't worry about the door dings, that's an easy fix.
