Looking at that pic feels like your going back in the early 90's. Sweet DA!! I still wish I had my center caps for my 265's 1 out of 4 left *tear. Damn those hooligans that steal H badges and caps back in the day!!

Here's a taste of the past.

note: This is not my car. Just a random picture of how it was done in the early 90's

man those were the days, Superfins, Supermeshes, and slammed to the floor and you were ballin'...good times, great cars, and cool people...One DA that has always stood out in my mind was featured in Sport Compact back in '93. It was a red GS-R, one pieces, Kosoku, and Volk Group AVs...the good ol' days

I bought the brackets off the H22 from the dealer and had them welded in. The intake manifold is off the Euro-R H22. The clutch master cylinder is mounted half way through firewall. The front crossmember is very close to the engine and will need to be cut for the header to pass through. Axles are custom, modified the factory engine harness and I hope the hood closes

It was a street car project about 7-8 years ago!!!! Now I'm building it for the WCHC H1 class.

If you want more info, let me know.

So with the engine placed the way you have it, will the stock h22 manifold still clear? Or is that why you are using the euro h22? Im guessing you have the engine placed so that the axles are lined as straight as possible, right?

I don't know if the factory intake manifold will clear. The Euro-R piece is roughly the same length(depth) as the factory unit so I would assume it would fit. I'm using the Euro-R because Honda Challenge rules state you must use a factory Honda intake manifold.

Charles did the fab work about 7-8 years ago. I'm sure the axles are straight or as straight as they can be. Haven't had a chance to install them yet.

very, very interesting. Awesome work by the way. Do you have any pics near the drivers side mount and a closer pic of the clearance on the front cross member? Are you also using the h22 rear mount/bracket? Sorry for all the questions, its just not very many people have attempted this swap in a DA, and there's just a lot of "speculation" on the internet about what works and what doesn't.

I only have 4 pics of the car. This pic shows the driver's side from a different angle. I'll try to take more pics of the driver's side and the header/crossmember clearance.

I am using the factory rear engine mount/bracket as well. Charles used the existing bolt pattern on the rear crossmember. Spacers are used to support a new "platform" for the H22 rear mount to sit on. Your questions are cool, don't worry about it, ask away
