"Couple" of pics of my recently purchased DA.
Not how I bought her...but how she sits now.

So much prettier than when she originally made her new home in my 3rd garage (read FILTHY).

Just installed the seat tonight.

Hyperion coil overs...soon to meet the same dumpster as the other items mentioned below.

These just need a little plastic polish...good as new.

Bought this seat for only $20.

The shoes that she came with.

I bought her about 2 weeks ago...for $1K, with the B16A2 swap.
I bought her to turn into a daily/ auto x/ road racing car, so the DB can keep her low miles (original miles still under 55K
!).
She was complete, didn't start under her own power (read alternator).
The interior was blue/ gray vinyl, and had to go. The interior panels were Palmy Blue, but painted black...they were trashed with the seats, as well as the metallic blue dash, silver console, and the rest of the interior.
The fan, and radiator assembly need to be replaced, so those units were trashed along with the remaining engine bay A/C lines. I have also removed all the engine bay power steering components, and looped the rack.
The motor was FILTHY...I mean there was at least an 1/8th inch of grease/ oil/ dirt mixture on the block, front cross member, steering rack, wiring harness...I mean it was NASTY! The head was BLACK from an exhaust manifold leak...BLACK! After about 14 hours over a 3 day period, she now looks like the pics above. There are a few knooks and crannies that still need to be touched up, but for now, there are other things that I am tending to.
I have already purchased another dash, bezel, gauge cluster, buttons, console, shift boot all in MINT condition...along with an OEM leather wrapped steering wheel, and driver's seat (gray tweed w/ minor 3" tear as seen in pic...but better than what I started with) all for $80!!!
The "bad" she needs a new alternator and there is an idle issue, she sits at 2,500 rpm. As stated earlier, she needs a new radiator, and fan assembly. And I need two new AZENIS Sports...and she will continue to ride on the 15" Buddy Club's.
I already have some GC's and Koni Yellows that will now adorn this car, instead of the DB. She (the DB) will get another set of GC's that I have on the way with some Tokico Blue's.
Basically she will be back on the road for under $500...total coming to $1500 or less.
By the end of the year, she will have a full cage, harness and racing seat.
For now the motor will receive a short ram AEM that is in the garage, a new header, and exhaust. I need to see how reliable she is going to be...before I decide to do anything else with the motor, and before I track her.
Sorry for the long post, but yeah.
If you would like an update on the DB, just let me know, her list is MUCH shorter.
Ooooh...and I need to get one of those DA SQUAD logos as well.

If the painter at an actual shop is scared to paint moldings, that's not a good sign on the quality of their work or their training. They're "professionals" and should know certain things.
