Thats not much room there by the front crossmember. Are you going to utilize an aftermarket crossmember like the full-race or z10?

Yea, its pretty tight. I'm going to cut the crossmember. It's been modified with spherical metal bearings for the trailing arms by Progress Group and I want to keep it.

A few of us have spherical bearings in our Place Racing Crossmembers so whatever Progress did to yours should transfer over.

I've seen the Place Racing crossmember and its a nice piece. It looks a lot lighter than the factory unit. But under HEAVY braking, it seems it might flex a little. I think most of the braking load is transfered into the front trailing arms/crossmember. If I do decide to use it, I might have to beef it up a bit. Whats your opinion on the crossmember and do they still sell it?

IMO, braking is more important than power/handling for a road racer and I didn't want to compromise the braking performance. It should be Ok for a street car that will visit the track once in a while. I may be completely wrong but I'm gonna go with gut instinct
