Honestly, I'd say about 4k and it might sell. Even though you have put X amount of dollars into it, at the end of the day it is still a very common 20 year old Honda.

 

Unfortunately I've learned our cars are worth more parted out then complete. Sad but true.

It does suck to part it out but you could get close to your asking price if the parts sell for what you want plus it is easier to sell a stock car. You have nice parts that you should have no problem selling.

 

Parts never sell for what they are either. The majority of Honda owners are cheap as hell! Goes with the territory I guess.

Have a kid offer me $100 for my old pistons because he would then need to buy rings. I simply explained that these pistons new are $500 + and don't come with rings, rings are only $70 or so, so $270 is still a lot less than $500.....

It's crazy how cheap people are these days. You want to sell something, they either lowball you or offer you an assortment of useless trades plus like $50. If I had the money, I'd drive down and pick up your DA today BoonyBoun. It's super clean and a perfect platform to build up.

If you do end up going down the route of parting it out, what would you part out? Suspension and some of the smaller goodies?

 

If I part it out, I'll go full measure and sell all parts of the car. I'll be left with a shell that I'll sell to the scrap yard.

Funny you say that. That's first on thing on the list. Get rid of the Illuminas and Eibach springs, swap Koni/GC/tophats on! Have to pull the one pieces off of my other car still though

Oh dang.. I didn't expect all out. Well, keep me updated on your motor! If you remember a while back I PM'd you about various engine swaps and you had given me a lot of good advice, along with that word document loaded with information. I'm not far from Oregon at all and if I can accumulate the money I'd be interested in that swap.

 

When you get around to the Koni/GC setup, let me know about those Illuminas!

your car is beautiful. plz dont part it out. it would be a shame to let a nice body like that go to the scrap yard. times are still tough and im sure if you just held onto it you would get close to what your asking for. like someone else said, more da's are getting parted out than sold as a whole and its getting harder to find clean chassis now. i got lucky with mine and it still needs allot of work to get it to look good. im just glad i have no rust.

 

My buddy Chris bought it and I took pics. It's in better shape now. Not trashed.

hey guys. i was wondering if everybody from the north east would like to get a meet together. ive noticed that half of the regulars on this thread are form md, pa, ny, and i think some from nj. would you guys be interested in putting somehting together? maybe plan it around herb (hb420) would be back in the area and if anybody else would like to take a road trip to the area.

not trying to be lazy but philly area would be a good central location for this. i wouldnt mind having it at my house and have a bbq and some beers. there is also a cheap motel right up the street to for people who wanted to stay overnight. there is some good places around here for photos and such like fdr skate park, the stadiums are right next to that. and i know some really cool roads around here to do a little cruize. let me know if you guys would be interested in putting something together or any ideas would be good.

 

I already have them, just have to find time to install. New job FTL.
But one of the shocks is bad, so it would need to be replaced. Not sure if that's something you're interested, but I'll definitely let ya know when I pull them. Really hoping to get some time on Sunday
