I really don't know at the moment. Exedy seems to break fairly easily and I don't really like other brands either.

those are the three I've used and had good experiences with all of them. I would put ACT at the bottom of that list though.

I've heard great things about Clutchmasters but i think their prices are kinda high.

Everyone I know with exedy had the springs popped out of the clutch disc. It's not giving me confidence to drive the way I want to with it. I wish I could get an Ogura clutch though.

It wasn't my NKK clutch in there. I don't know what clutch it was but it wasn't my NKK or Fidanza flywheel that was supposed to be on there.

The NKK had 6 springs on the disc, the one that was on the car had 4

Exedy seems to work pretty good. I've had two of theirs so far with no complaints. Road racing (and track days) don't put much strain on a clutch unless you're a bad driver. It's drag racing that really beats on a clutch, or really high hp paired with a clutch that can't take it. Matt, for you I'd suggest you go with only a slight upgrade over stock, there's really no reason to go for something crazy. You aren't drag racing and you aren't putting down serious power therefore you don't need a serious clutch.

so i kept hearing this loud squealing noise coming from my cluster area while i drove the car around and it always seemed to get louder and more high pitched as i drove the car. so i thought to myself, the only thing that spins constantly inside my cluster is my speedo cable. so i replaced the speedo cable and cluster to be safe and it took care of the noise. the cable was really stiff inside the housing. now i just have to wire in a plug for my stereo because the previous owner just cut the wires and twisted them together. no tape just twisted them.

i am running the exedy organic clutch which is the stock replacent clutch and love it! i had a problem with the pedal feeling overly stiff and tried adjusting it up and down and nothing seemed to work. i am also running an exedy lightened flywheel. both came off my brothers em1 si that i got the motor from. the flywheel had what looked like stuck on clutch i guess from it sitting for 2.5 years without being turned. i hit it with some scotch bright and it took most of it off. i figured it would come off with driving. the pedal seemed to loosen up a little in the 80 miles i have put on it so far.

I've ran a few different clutch setups over the years. The two that stick out to me are ACT and Competition.
I forget exactly what model ACT clutch it was but that thing bound up with little miles on it and made it like pushing a sack of bricks!
My Comp 6 puck has been great! Just put a brand new disk in too while I had it all apart. When I had my stock CRX Si, the competition 6 puck took less force to engage than the stock CRX clutch.

I'll probably go with a exedy stage 1 clutch when I do the YS1.

exedy stage 1 is coo, thats what i had in my DA, but thats just an oem replacement i believe, if you plan on beating on it might as well just get a stage 2

Stage 1 is not oem replacement. They have an oem replacement clutch then Stage 1. I don't need anything more than Stage 1. I'm running stock power. Clutch rating is basically just how much power you have, not how hard you're going to beat on it per se.

i have put nothing but exedy in all my cars. I had a exedy stage 1 in my h2b and even with nitrous at the dragway i never had problems with it. I would recommend them just because they have never let me down.

thats what the exedy i have now feels like. when i get into my crv i feel like im going to put the pedal into the back of the front tire by how hard i push down on it till i get used to it again. im going to swap my clutch cable to see if it makes a difference. its good to have 2 of everything!
