Well last night it was idling fine but when I turned my headlights on it would idle to the point of almost stalling out.

My thoughts were that without the IAC it couldn't accommodate for the added load.

Got an IAC from a buddy today and put it on. Had duty cycle at stock location and it idled erratically. So I turned the IAC off and now it idles fine.

Go figure..............
the +12v for the IAC comes from the same source as the injectors, fyi. i think its from the MFR

Long story short put a new IAC on last night and everything is fine.

And I didn't even think of this on my own, ran it by my buddy who is a whiz, professional mechanic.
O no i totally understand what an IAC is= Idle air control, its a output from the PCM that allows compensation of load and cold and other things that affect idle. It is electrically controlled. I am a student at one of the five colleges in the US that offers my automotive program, and i have electrical 2 class this semester and i find it pretty interesting and its one class i actually pay attention in. lol we are learning about pcm controls, interpretation and sensors, theory and opperation and what not. Your concern to me did not seem like a IAC issue at least in my thought.

Because all it does is allow regulated air past the throttle body, what i was thinking is that the headlights were drawing so much power that it was affecting your idle maybe because your alternator wasnt keeping up(which would affect spark and fuel delivery). Or something of that sort. but if it worked, then good ****. lol

I miss my DB8!

As for this issue, like said above, ALWAYS check your grounds...a few years back I did a thermostat and negated to put the ground back on (I'm an idiot), a little did I know after that I could not get the car above 3000 rpms hahaha

me and a friend are going to start making CF parts, when the place we ordered from gets resin in stock, rare parts such as these could easily be molded and copies could be made in CF. Think these would sell good.??

anything and everything that can be molded for my db8 and made in CF i will try. lol

in theory and operation i dont believe it to be his IAC from the sounds of it, i would check the charging system first.

but thats just my opinion.... and yeah man i love mine, i had a DB6 but it got destroyed and left me with two fractured vertebrae, and now spinal bone bumping my spinal cord in three places, cant wait for the insurance to settle, cause they aint getting off easy. lol

Yea I didn't think anything of it and thought it was a ground too. When my buddy told me it kinda made sense but wasn't a believer until I put the new IAC on. Go figure, learn something new everyday.

So 90IntegraTuner tell me about your adventures on Broad st? LoL!
I am on Broad Street probably about every weekend, the gf lives in Elkins Park and we always go down into the city, normally take Broad Street to avoid all the traffic on the Vine st Expressway.

Why is the import community always mis-represented?!?! I mean really, on Pass Time and Pinks and shows like ^, they always seem to pick the biggest tool with the worst car. I mean how is a Shelby and a 350Z a fair race in any category?!?!?!

Haha cars can deff be tricky! Man last night was an adventure let me tell you...I go to Pitt and me and some buddies pregamed HARD and took the bus down to PNC Park...i get the tickets from Will Call and blacked the hell out immediately...i wandered around downtown Pittsburgh for four hours and was found sitting on a ledge in front of a huge building talking to a homeless guy!!! HAHA! Needless to say, I have no recollection of myself or anything else that happened after I left Will Call last night! :-P

I live in Warrington which is mad close to Elkins Park...hit me up sometime over the summer and me you and Herb can go grab some Sonic or somethin bro
