hey i have a question whats the diffrence in the b18a and b18b heads becides the intake manifold and cam profile if there is any diffrence in them besides those to things i think im gonna put my gsr project on a 2 year build process and just beef up my ls a lil wit some crower cams and a intake mani
If you are going to build a motor why would you waste money on another one? Leave the one you're not building stock and save the money for the other one.
and its easier to just spend 500 bucks a get a lil power from the motor thats already running the more i think about it the more i think im gonna sell the motor lol to much time and money and head aches to do the gsr hell i might even just sell the da and get a family 4 door the honda seen is getting boring and with having 2 kids and a soon to be wife the finances arent there like it was before and i just turned 30 sunday getting old time for a old crown vic or a buick lmao
I wouldn't waste $500 for cams for an ls that will still be slow. Mabey get a b16 trans or something, at least that will be a noticeable difference. Imo i would just spend the money on a nice tuneup to make it more reliable
oh no the 500 was for the cams and intake manifold i already have my header tune up was done already timing belt water pump i do need a new dizzy which im hoping to get this weekend already have a obd0-obd1 jumper harness just need ecu cams and manifold and for the gsr motor i need everything lol at least 2500 bucks worth hell if i can save my self 1600 bucks and still get a lil pep
Thank you all for the positive feed back. My Teg has come a long way. I remember getting bashed terribly by Brice Hayden when I had a "Type R" lip and painted yellow fogs lol. I love DA's and I'll have many more changes to come. Too bad I can't join the DA squad, my wheels are 17" : P. Once again, thank you!

so on a different note. I miss having a da so i am in the market for another one. This time i want a 4 door with a sunroof and power windows. interior needs to be the graphite black and looking for one not too torn up. would prefer a 92 - 93 but i am not picky on that. Anyone out there have a friend with such car trying to unload it?

juda- why/how do you need 2500 worth of **** for the gsr? why cant you just drop it in with a b16 trans and go? would be a nice improvement and plenty of fun. or just slap the gsr head on the ls and have fun?

lol ok imma show u the parts list timing belt water pump intake manifold dizzy ecu b16 tranny have to get the driver side mount holes drilled out and taped head gasket cams cams i can leave stock but i wanted cams so maybe a lil less then 2500 oh just about every sensor there is plugs wire etc etc u get the driff

would u say the victor is is better then say skunk 2 i know its cheaper again im not looking to go out and run 12 sec 1/4 mile times just something to make my slower ls a lil faster
ok i was just offered a obd1 dizzy conversuon harness and b18b head for 150 my question is does the b18b head flow better then the b18a or is it the same granted the cams and manifold are being changed

as for your other question. there is no point in buying the whole head. all you need are the cams and manifold. but, if you are already wanting to buy after market cams and manifold, then why buy the stocks ones? seems pointless to me.

Yea Victor X is a no no for stock-ish motors.
It does make power on fairly simple turbo setups too, which is what I'm going for
Although Pro 1's make some serious power and need that extra air.

i dont know that you'll get that much to the wheels...i had the stage 1's and skunk2 in my da b4 i tore it apart for the build and it was alright, but i wouldnt say it had that much
put a b16 tranny on it with ls final drive and 5th and you'll have plenty of fun
