Brice your thinking of the Victor X Mani. Victor X is beast on turbo and built motor cars. Performer X is similar to S2 and Blox IM. </TD></TR></TABLE>

i was already thinking like... huh... the performer is a very good allrounder, so what are you saying now???? hehehe

oh well, friends thought that it wouldnt clear the firewall... i never read it wouldnt, so thats why i asked. Who owns a performer x and can tell me if it does fit? I definitely set my eyes on this one

my new setup will be, b16b valvetrain, jdm itr header 2,5", performer x intake and tuned on crome gold that'll do the trick to get some horsies out of the lazy b16

Shiiit Brice. Leave your cars in Charlotte for a weekend and see if they don't get stolen.

Maybe Raleigh isnt bad, but Charlotte is, and when I move out to UNCC next semester, its gonna be even worse. I have to get an alarm for my EG before August of this year or else i'll see my hatch in peices...

You don't live in California. How the [freak] would you know?

Cars get stolen on the East Coast all the time. Maybe just not in North Carolina. Not exactly the most metropolitan out there...

Why must you always post like you know what's the "grown up" thing to do? We know you're older than us, but why would getting full coverage insurance on a car worth $2,000 be a good idea? If your car is in anything more than a fender bender, it will be totalled and you will have to buy it back from insurance to take the parts off of it. If your car is stolen, you paid all that money every month for full covereage only to get $2,000 back if you're lucky, and the $2,000 doesn't even cover the cost of modifications done to the car.

The idea is to NOT have the car stolen. Full coverage doesn't get your car back, and it certainly doesn't replace your time and efort.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I agree the idea is for people not to steal your car, I agree. Full coverage on a car will allow for the most money returned on a car possible. I had a rider that had all of my receiptable items on my cars so that in the event the car was totalled or stolen the money could be recouped for the aftermarket parts.
The truth of the matter is, if you are in an accident with your $2000 car you are not obligated to have it totaled and savalged. That is your choice, this is ignorance of most consumers. My car was hit and considered a total loss. I said give me the non-totaled repairable amount of money and i'll keep my car. I got a check for 1300 bucks. nice. i fixed it with a $50 fender and a $240 BNIB OEM bumper. did that total my car, nope, did i spend all the money, nope. Full coverage allowed for that where your liablity only would have left you with nothing.
In the event my car was stolen i would be paid actual value for the car and the additional ride with the amount for the aftermarket goods. Maybe some research into your insurance company would do you some good. This is the benefit of being older and more "grown up". Im not saying this to be a dick, i'm trying to teach you things you wouldnt learn elsewhere, because appearantly no one else bothered to.

Still fighting wiring demons. Car is currently throwing a code for ECT because I musta knocked a wire loose. Other than that it runs perfect. Got to crack a smile when I went cruising with my laptop in hand. Cleared the code real quick and before it came back I was able to get one crack into Vtec : ). Silly yes I know.

Very few insurance companies do this, especially in CA.

Well, I can't say that I agree. If I were to have full coverage on my car, I would've LOST money. I had my car for over four years. To add full coverage to my DA would've been $500 more per year. Multiply that by four years and that's $2,000. There is no way my insurance company would cut me a check for anywhere near $2,000 for a totalled car that cost $1,800 in the first place.

You said you had your car for 5 years; I know insurance rates are much lower in NC and you have multiple vehicles so it might not be the case for you, but paying more money for full coverage insurance for an extended period of time might not be worth the money they pay you out in the event the car is stolen/totalled.

Don't try and front like anything you say in this thread is not meant to be acting like a dick. I may be younger than you, but I wasn't born yesterday.

Anyway, thanks for the lesson. Depending on the situation, getting full coverage insurance can make you a "grown up" or just plain stupid. This all goes back to protecting your car from getting stolen, which is obviously the better place to focus your attention, rather than focusing on something that does nothing for you until the car is gone. Maybe not in North Carolina though...

WRONG!!!!!!!!

I still own a DA.....

....It's just that it's obliterated and will never roll again. I can't seem to motivate myself to get rid of the carcas, especially considering there is a perfectly good OBD1 B16A cylinder head and mint short-geared YS1 transmission with no grinds attached to it.

True but i haven't always live in NC. I had the car in PA and in DC. And my insurance rates are also lower because i'm over 25 and i'm married. My insurance on 3 cars with full coverage were 116 bucks a month. So i think i was the smarter one. You pay more because i'm sure you have some tickets + you're under 25 + you live in CA.

I hope you have full coverage on your CR-Van, maybe that is the more important lesson. Well we'll see the difference when i move to South Carolina in a week and a half. When you have car insurance, home owners insurance, health insurance, life insurance and etc. maybe you will do more research. I have done mine and i have alot more investments to protect than any Integra. I'm sure my wife would agree.

Cool beans.

If your insurance was that cheap, I can't argue with getting full coverage. This still doesn't address the fact that you were recommending people in this thread "just grow up and get full coverage insurance" as an alternative to theft prevention in areas rampant with car theft.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Brice.Hayden &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

You're "sure" I have tickets. How wonderfully condescending.

Only three more months until 25. I can't wait to save some money.

Yes, I have full coverage on my CR-V. I know how much you care.

Ah. More wonderful talking down. I have all of those aside from homeowners insurance (and wife). It's tough these days with our economy to keep up with them all, but then again, I wouldn't expect you to have to worry about that with your steady, taxpayer funded paycheck.

OMG this Brice guymakes me wanna puke...

although his profile says his 27, perhaps a few years older, still, he's not old enough to be telling people here on HT to grow up wtf is that. you sound like a HS sophmore picking on freshmen! maybe a 1/4 of your life is over and you already think you think you know enough to put others down? what a f'n smart ***.

You talk about being all "grown up and mature" but you have 4000+ posts on this website? Go buy a minivan or get a porsche and have your midlife crisis already if you need to relive your youth. C'mon, people post on here because they like cars, regardless of how old they are. I am over 30 and I have friends who are barely 22 and a few more that I've met through this website that are over 36. I have the utmost equal respect for them because we share the same passion for cars.

NC is different than CA, which is different than PA or DC. Being married at your age might show some sort of maturity, but are kids that are 18yrs old getting married more mature than you then?

Getting a job and a college degree is something great over there, but c'mon thats just normal life out this way in cali, where even bums have a 4 year degree. Financial stability out this way is different then where you are, $500k doesn't even buy you a 2,000 sq ft house out this side of town. You know this as well already; You don't want to live in CA, and I don't want to live in NC. I don't know what you have and I don't care, but there's no reason to brag about it.

If you really are as grown up and mature as you make yourself out to be, stop acting so darn pretentious. Grown people don't need to tell others how "grown up" they are. Sorry I just had to rant. No disrespect.

the main point here is to invest in security for our old *** DA's. which brings me to my next point.

Damn just think that in the near future our cars will be called classics in the Honda community

so one of the states with the highest illegal immigrant populations per capita also has the highest amounts of illegal immigrants with college degrees? Are you serious? what truck did you just fall out of? You have no data to back any of this up and you are just "ranting" because you have nothing else better to do. If you cant' stand the heat and the wildfires of how expensive Cali is then get out. I'm not bragging out anything, if that's how you read it, thats your perception. and I'll tell you what old man, it's wrong. Theres nothing you can say that is going to convice me or anyone on the east coast that California is a good place to live. I've been there a ton of times and nothing stopping short of half of it dropping into the Ocean would want me to go there again.
