BUILT NOT BOUGHT!
the head has nothing to do with converting obd1. If you convert obd1 you need a obd1 dizzy and obd1 ecu. removing the resistor box and injector are optional. I would recommend converting obd1 because its less hassle with wiring up the vtec and what not. If you know anyone that can chip an obd0 ecu then go for it but i would highly recommend converting obd1.
thanks again that helps me out alot. I'm glad Friday is payday : ) looks like I'm buying an ODB1 distributor and conversion harness.
hey guys I am building my baby to be N/A , Is there an ECU anyone would recommend for me to use to convert to OBD1 ...I have read a little bit about a P28 kinda being the most used, correct me if I am mistaken. thnx again
You can get any obd1 ecu and have it converted to become a vtec ecu. What matter is how the ecu is programmed and tuned. p28 is an obd1 vtec ecu so its easier but any obd1 ecu will work.
Yes you can pick up a P06 ecu which you will need to convert to vtec, which to some people isnt really worth the time to do based on the price difference of the two ecu's

Being able to read something and not have to try and figure out what the person is saying because the can't spell. Now that's is an awesome feeling. lol j/k but you do need help.
i converted my EF2 from obd0 to obd1 using the p28 ecu and so far its perfect, best part about it is that you could chip it easily since alot of people use the chrome program to chip and tune obd1 cars

Well my intake manifold came today and earlier this week my springs and retainers showed up. I dropped them off at the machine shop and hopefully I get my head back either Monday or Tuesday. So I can put the manifold on and bolt the head down. then I just need some itr or sk2 tuner 1 cams and I'm done.

Yeah only thing that sucks is a bought the block as a winter project and I've finished it within a month. So now I will just get to stare at it all winter sitting on a stand. Around next April I'll pull my ls and clean up the bay by ditching abs and tucking the headlight harness plus as much as the motor harness as possible without having to relocate my battery. Might go ahead and spray it body color while I'm at it.
heer are some new pics of my EF-2 fellas i know i havent posted any for a while but heer it is with the ls v-tec
after coming back from the track cooling down

what better way to protect your car than with a detachable steering wheel

and heer is the ls v-tec

by the looks of it i still need to clean up my engine bay
