it's on top, probably a valve cover gasket, these aren't simple to replace, the plenum has to come off and all the crap attached to the valve covers, it's a 5.0 last year to get one, so the engine is pretty straight forward. I only paid 1000 for it after the 98's transmission took a ****, it's a pretty nice car, the interior is even nice except for minor stuff

I forget what the name of that valve is on the side of the transmission, but it goes out and the hydraulic pressure drops causing the clutch packs to go, by the time you discover it, it's too late
Yeah it also controls the speedo as well, mine went out and i didn't know tell the fluid overheated and the transmission fried up on me. Another thing i had problems with was the air ride, the dumps always went out. HAHA,i was driving down 237 in san jose and out of know where,my *** end was pointing to the sun,and by the time i stopped, the airbag blew up and so i was 3 wheeling the rest of the way home..lol

I'm usually posting something I built, I just was talking about the daily driver for a moment, anyway going to take the thrush glasspack back, instead of repacking it, I'm just making my own stainless muffler from scratch

I ordered the stainless tube for my muffler case, made the end caps, and somewhere in my loft among the squirrel carcasses and giant spiders, is some stainless muffler packing, hopefully within a week i will have a stainless muffler.

got my pickup installed in the tank finally, I can't believe the poor quality of the in tank pumps available for this car, I have an original pump on a hanger, and two aftermarket pumps and hangers, and every one is different, hangers are different lengths, the aftermarket pumps look like cheap junk, and they are supposed to all be the same, and don't get me started on the carter pumps, complete garbage, i had six fail in a row, the counter person at Oreilies told me they discontinued the brand,so many came back, It's a little tough to find a low pressure in tank pump, at least a quality one. I'm just going to install a good facet pump under the car. This is my hanger I created to replace the pump, I have a thread somewhere, maby even here.
I'm going to create a bypass to let a small amount of fuel cycle back to the tank, This prevents fuel pressure creep behind the regulator, I ended up drilling out the rivet holding in the old electrical connector, and drilled and tapped for 1/8 npt, pretty heavy material in this hanger, and installed a 1/8 to -4 right angle. I have a fitting i made that is brazed up with a 1/32 hole drilled through the braze, this allows a controlled amount of fuel to cycle back to the tank

How long before you get the car back?
As for myself, not much update on the car. Looking to boost my single cam pretty soon. i'll keep you guys updated on what i decide to do.
Someone also mention something about the stickers. update on that is the place i wanted to get them made at kinda screwed me over on a previous purchase and im not considering returning to that shop. The design is going to be the one on the front page, it just a matter of finding a good place to get them made.
woohoo i have a possible bent frame... jackstand gave out the other night, car feel forward, now the rear stablizer bar doesnt line up.. its driveable without it, but i **** bricks everytime i drive it on 101.
also have a cracked foglight lens and cracked the bumper in a few places. So looks like im going to have to get a new foglight lens and probly just scrape this bumper and get a new one soon. nothing that noticable happened so im glad. my frame is what im worried about the most, car drives straight and true, so im hoping i can replace whatever is the issue as long as its not the frame.
