Man this thread is dead....

 

Let's bring this thread back to life, gonna have a bunch of updates this week.

 

i'm hoping to have some as well. still waiting on my block to get done at the machine shop. hopefully i'll get it back this week. then a trip to the dealership for a lil over $300 worth of goodies followed by assembly

 

unfortunately I won't have any updates until end of this year or next year : ( I promised my wife after getting this car that i wouldn't start my build until later this year. ( and I have this CRAZY ITCH to want to do stuff to my car already lol)...but a promise is a promise.

i got a sweet phone call at 8:00 this morning...











i am sooooo freaking happy with the work the machine shop did. it looks AMAZING!! my main n thrust bearings should be here today at some point (but prob not till after i leave for work). also need to cal honda and make sure they can have everything in stock for me to pick up tomorrow and then i might just start assembling it all tomorrow before work. my goal is to have it all done; running, driving, broke in, etc, by april 1st. there is an IFO event down in MD i wanna go to (not race, just attend) and i'd like to drive my car down for it. *crossing my fingers*

nice, picked up a ctr rear swaybar last week bout to do install this weekend.

 

Gonna have a bunch of updates next week, when more parts come in.

head studs just kinda sittin in place, but not screwed in. also head gasket chillin out too


set the head on just to cover up cylinders and called it a night

thanks. i really hope i'm happy with the outcome, but i'm far from done with it. and the more i look at the color i painted it, the more unhappy i am with it. really thinking about repainting it now

 

You gotta make the head just as clean as the block, otherwise it will make everything else look shitty. it applies to everything on a car. lol

 

yeah dont worry, i will def do the head and tranny too. but i really think i'm gonna change the color. i think i might just do a simple high temp silver and be done with it. its supposed to be gold but it looks more bronze/orange

 

Make your motor colorful, like the rainbow. hahah jk
