BUILT NOT BOUGHT!
what andy said. the 7 bolts (second gen) are known for crank walk under increased boost and when run too hard for too long. that being said the good 6 bolt main only came in the eclipse/talons from 90-92 i believe, the other 6 bolts have had crank walk (though it is less likely than a 7 bolt)
the second gen eclipses n talons are known to get crank walk. not all of them will get it, but it has been far too common among them. a lot of people who get serious about building them will swap in a 6bolt motor from the first gens to avoid this issue. with that being said, dsm's are know to be VERY cranky cars. they will run GREAT when they want to, and absolutely HORRIBLE and a huge pain in the *** when they want to and for no reason at all. i like them, but would never want one for my daily driver cuz i've seen way too many reasons not to trust one for a daily/only car
lol yeah im not gonna lie, i like the body style too. especially the 97 and up. if you want one, i'd say either find one with a 6 bolt swap already done, or do the swap from the start
I've noticed several VWs with euro plates n decals saying "wtf is vtec?"...
Lil video I made for them..

Yeah it just goes to show that quality parts are better, I made the 237 on 10 psi with quality parts and my friend made 235 on 14 psi with an ebay kit, if I turned my boost up to 14 I estimate that I would be somewhere around 275 whp if not more
sucks dude. you got full coverage?

alrighty,
so back in march i went to the junkie and found a nice, good condition, 94/95 lip for my car. i paid 20 bux and walked out with it. i ended up dropping it off at a friends house until i had the opportunity to put it on, well, 2 days later it got run over by a tow truck (its a loooooooooooooong story) so, i now had a 2 piece lip

so last week i decided i was gonna just fix it and throw it on my car so i went to harbor freight and bought this plastic welding kit for $16:

last night my friend and i decided to set to work. we both know how to weld metal (kinda) but we have never welded plastic. it actually turned out to be pretty easy, the hard part was just getting everything to line up. basically you just melt the strips provided onto the plastic you're bonding. well, here is the finished product:

and our work station:

not bad for a redneck and a ricer imo. sorry for the cell pix and the low lighting
