copied my post from three geez of a small project I was working on today
after the terrible luck i've had with the stupid in tank pump, i've decided to go with the Walbro pump under the body, it's a diaphram type pump and is very much like the old AC pumps that were used with SU's for decades. the main problem with the setup is the fuel outlet is on the top, this series of the Walbro pumps has a dry lift capability of two feet, that means even if the hose is empty, it can suck the fuel two feet straight up to the pump if needed. once fuel reaches the pump it has a prime anyway, most pumps are damaged if they run dry like this. This is one of the only pumps i've seen that can pull fuel not just push it. This is my solution to locating the pickup in the tank in the correct position, and being able to use a factory pump sock.
first I machined this aluminum adapter to replace the pump, this will locate the pump sock in the correct position in the tank, i cut a groove in the body for the hanger clamp,

I moved the sock up slightly, for some reason it sits against the tank, and restricts flow

First I milled it out at 3/8, then I used a tapered 7/16 reamer to ream it for the pipe threads, the other side was milled out at 3/4 for the adapter for the pump sock

this is the sock adapter, I took a 1/4 aeroquip coupler, machined one end to fit the pump sock, and cut a retaining groove, the other end was machined to 3/4 and pressed into the other piece, then tig welded

im just messing around i cant speak for him haha, just saying he probably knows everything you need to know about putting that b16 swap into your car, especially that putting in a b16 is probably a waste of time, lsvtec or b20vtec would be better
Yea man good thing U dident buy it and good thing I dident swap it, needless to say the guy I sold it to was pretty mad. I was told it was good I could tell it dident burn oil but can't tell a rod knock untill it runs.
ya i tried looking for it wasnt there.... unless im blind ..
so today i called Nastie garage and its gonna 2200 for a JDM B16 and thats the complete change over.
so imma start preparing to drop my engine. I need to go buy a engine hoist and some tools and slowly teach myself how to take a engine out .. but never put one in lol ..

if your trying to bar it, then your going to have to do some research because i havent bar;d a car yet. looking to bar a GSR in the ferio though, then turbo.
ouch times a million.
so i decided to look under my car.. and i find out that the car has a straight pipe.. i bought the car because i wanted a car i can smog without hassle.. now i find out this car is not smogable unless i buy a cat and resignator. im tempted to boost my single cam but this rain weather is helping me resist it.
Update .... i just noticed that my Right tire it down to the wires.. my headlight holder one of them broke .. so ya .. but here are some pictures..
im alittle annoyed that some of the sh*t is my splash guards are rip apart and ya .. looks like i got alot of work with this engine bay ... before i get my b16. what should i do with my harness and **** .. and on top of that i wanna do a wire tuck ..

Hay BNB,its been hell the last 3 days and its only getting worse. It took me an hour and a half to plow out of my driveway (A FOOT IN A HALF IN 4 HOURS OF DUMPING) just to look out again 4 hours later to have 2 and a half feet all over again. Looks like its going to be awhile till i can start working on the car,but ill keep you all up to date when GOD stops punishing me for all me sins.
its funny how you forgot to take pix of the tires and keep saying ill do it tmorrow when i like literally sleep next to them and have a million cameras in my room! hahahaha!!!!!nsoifhsuofckcbgmuhcbhxvn lgn, vmghjzjk, jfkchnaszkhjvbjlfvabjl; vgr41ag534a56g4654d56vg464a6.5t4a6e84bta561va56156
