Ain't nothing better then chili cheeseburger, chili cheese fries, and chili cheese dog from Wienerschnitzel with a nice ice cold pepsi in a double gulp cup from 711.

Also raced a riced out dc2 on the way to get the food. Maybe if he had a NOS drink in his car he would of won.

figuring out the specifics on making my own muffler, I'm tired of the glass packs always blowing out. I gutted my 6 month old cherry bomb today, for not being that old I couldn't believe the damage to the packing already. When I build it this time, it's stainless steel packing. the case is usable as is the perforated core, and I'm possibly going to use one of the end caps I cut off.
let me know how it goes haha

you have to use the correct long strand stainless steel packing if you really want it to last. I picked up an entire roll on egay for 20 bucks, the old muffler case wasn't worth screwing with, got a thrush glasspack for twenty bucks, i'm going to gut it,and stuff it with as much of the stainless packing as will fit. the cases and cores are usually pretty well made, it's the packing that burns up. I'll just cut one end completely off, then use a cut off tool in the lathe to cut the other end just behind the flare, this will leave the perforated core attached to the front part of the muffler, then I just pull the tube off of the packing, discard it, wrap it with the stainless packing, weld a piece of stainless tube to the other end of the baffle, slide the tube back on, weld the front, then I'll make a plate for the back for the tube to exit, and weld it on, this will leave me with a 20 dollar muffler that will last for who knows how long. still cheaper then 70-80 bucks for a stainless packed muffler
True, the inside of the cat looks like a beehive. When its bad, there is going to be a **** load of carbon buildup inside that is going to clog it, or the beehive is going to melt do to the extra heat from such buildup. If you can see through it and don't see any carbon, you should be ok.

Almost finished the car. We got lazy since there was a hold up on the tranny. Plus my friend and my schedule is the complete opposite. He's off work at 11/12 and in bed by 8/9
So we get like 1 day a week to work on it. I scrubbed down the bay with a brush and purple power. Painted both shock towers and deleted abs and a mild tuck. Oh well here are a few pics.

you hook a vaccume gauge to the motor and if the system is clogged you'll get:
Needle jumps 2"- 5" above normal
upon quick deceleration, but hesitates at a higher pressure before returning to normal. Restricted exhaust system causing back pressure.
