bought new parts for my d15b7 awhile back:
cam seal
crank seal
rear main seal
metal headgasket(free)
oil pan gasket
timing belt kit
my block and head are rebuilt to oem spec i suppose, no carbon deposit on either head or block
i cleaned out my block, with degreaser, and hosed it off with water but covered up the cylinders and holes, scrubbed it off with a wire brush and used rusto engine paint on the block and head with zc intake manifold.
we took off the rocker arms and found out i need to change out the rocker arm gaskets?
i just need to buy a flywheel and throwout bearing

im pretty sure the your talkin about a cable transmition...
the cable si trannys are marked pl3000 in a little circle stamped on the trans case im pretty sure... and the hydro si tranny is stamped B0000 when the dx is marked a0000... im pretty sure about the hydro one... and possitive about the cable one... im kinnda new to eg's and i did everything possible on my old ef si...

ya its sooo tempting to just throw it on now... but im thinking that it wouldnt be a good idea to half that much power with all this ice were lookin at in the next month or so... ya... but imma be getting the si tranny first too... cuz dude this f'in dx trans sucks i tested it out and 1st gear=40mph... 2nd gear=80mph... 3rd gear= 120ish... and 4th gear= i took up to 145ish (down hill ofcourse cuz this trans is so long) before my radar detector started going off and i slowed down and right when i got back down to 60 i saw a cop over the hill

ya you are but i really cant think of what mph the gears topped out at im my ef... i know the cable si trans are the best si trans.... just a wild guess 1st=30ish 2nd=50ish..... o i just remembered on the freeway at exactly 60mph the si trans will make your engine sit at exacty 3000 RPM... well it did on my car with 14's anyway... and i know the dx trans sits at about 22-2300ish rpm at 60 i think
The only way youd be able to tell is that the Si and Ex have either the same or close to the same gear lengths. Which means pretty short gears. Lx and Dx and Std i think all come with the same tranny i believe which have longer gears than the Si tranny, good for gas mileage. My Si tranny tops first at about 25-30 mph, while the dx's first gear tops out at 35-40 i think. Im not completely sure but thats just a rough estimate

Oh yeah its a cx or vx tranny i think. Yeah the gears are insanely long, i never got to grab 5th driving anywhere. But it would be a good tranny to keep since youll be boostin soon, then the gears wont seem as long. I picked it up with 60k on it about a month or 2 before i traded you. so keep it or sell it for some bank because its almost impossible to find a tranny with that kind of mileage on it. yeah im tossing in my extra dx tranny till summer because the si tranny sucks for gas mileage when i have to drive about 30 minutes on the freeway everday lol.

haha ya i hated drivin on the freeway with that exhaust thats on it cuz it way loud... i mean it sounds great but i just didnt like hearing it sittin at 3k for long periods of time on the freeway... lol but worth it in my opinion... and it probly would be ok with some boost behind it but still... im not gunna be hittin boost all the time... so i still want some driveability out of boost... but ya imma probly gunna sell it...plus i dont need to be drivin at 140 anymore and i would probly do that with the vx trans and some boost... lol

ya dude ill probly be going to 2 or 3 this summer... i just never had time last summer... if your gunna be rollin to them i will fer sure... there is always a big group of cars that meats up in olympic village shopping center in gig harbor before all the meats and mobs out there together... cuz it is a mob... lol
yeah we didnt go all the way to gig harbor to meet up but we always cruise up there in a huge group with all of us honda guys around here lol. What bumper was that you had on the ef before you put the 89 front bumper on. I think i just changed my plans to boost the extra motor in my garage lol
Ahh man i love the loud deep tone it makes at 3000. I sit at 3k every once in a while cause it just sounds soo mean. Yeah ive only taken the Ef up to 100 on this little quarter mile strip like 5 minutes from my house. Yeah we'll have to race when our cars are done haha
haha... and yes we should deffinatly race when were both done... that would be fun... im cool with street racin if its legit but once im boosted imma be going to the track like every weekend
my dad dont know anything about hondas hes a chevy guy... and i do all the work to my honda when hes not home or at a buddies house... hes gunna think its compleatly stock when i line up next to him at the track in his 12.9 sec camaro expecttin to beat me but he aint gunna know what hit him... lol he dont like me havin a fast car ever since i rolled my old 400hp nova at 120

ya dude the full exhaust it 4-2-1 header, cat, 2 1/2in piping all the way, a test pipe that i cut off the ends and made into a resinator, flowmaster 40series muffler...... do you like the way the exhaust looks or you a fan of fart cans... cuz i like how its just looks stock but angled up and out and its 2 1/2in pipeing... awh i miss that car

Well im gonna put a stock looking tip on the exhaust, it wont be a fart can. Just something simple that my buddy could weld on. Yeah theres a place by my house a little ways in the woods that cops dont know about, me and my friends go back there and race every once in a while. Yeah i was raised a chevy guy and will always be a chevy guy but i got a 5.0 mustang fox body project chillin in my back yard im gonna start workin on when it gets warmer. Ill challenge your dad once i get that thing finished. its gonna be a drag ***** lol
haha you looked at the pics i had of it on here? ya i use to have the wings west front bumper on it when it was boosted... i still got it if you want it... its just sittin behind my shed... but its cut out for the intercooler pretty bad,,, and it was cut under the pass. side headlight idk why i bought it like that... and its for a crx so it doesnt have the filler peice between the hood and bumper but since its for a crx it doesnt match the fenders very good eaither... i also found the bra fender peices thats in that pic too yesterday... hell ya... boost it... i blew up the old motor once i got the y7 and i was plannin on takin the turbo kit off anyways cuz the motor was losing compression really fastso i pushed 15 pounds to a stock z6 for a week and it popped on the 5th day.. lol it was fun for a week tho... that y7 thats in it now is fresh... boost it
yeah it looks sick with the huge intercooler sittin in it. I saw that it didnt line up very good, but im gonna make a chargspeed style wing and it would go perfect with it. Im not gonna boost the y7 thats in it now, i got a stock d15b2 that came with my extra shell im gonna boost since im not gonna use anything off of it to do my mini me. Oh yeah, i painted the valve cover and the head in the y7 is damn near perfect, i was pretty amazed to see that lol.

DONT BOOST A MINI-ME!!! mini-mes have too high of compression to run boost reliably too... just build that b2 with eagle rods ($250) and vitara pistons ($180) and push 15-20 ponds to it for cheap... thats what imma do with this z6 block im getting for him f'ing me over on that d16a motor! lol i told him if he plans on ripping me off he shouldnt have had me meat him at his work... lol started yellin at him while on shift so hes givin me a z6 bottom end that imma build with thos parts and push 15-20 punds too
