Here goes a quick one for the DA gods in the H-T park...

I was out looking for some seats today, as well as getting quotes for my exhaust, as well as looking for body panels and B20's - when I stumbled across a few things I figured I'd ask about before buying..

First off, I found 1997 Acura CL leather seats, I measured them across from the wide point - they're 20", and front to back, they're 19", and from the floor to the top of the headrest, half-way extended, and it's 38 or 39".. Now I don't have stock seats in my car, they're huge actually, so I tried measuring a haggard '90 Teg seat and got 20.5 to 21" across, 20" front to back, and 38" high..

The seats are 99% mint, a minor scrape on the side, and a foot print or two on the back, and they're $300.. And black. To match my black interior... Anyone try this? I've seen those RSX seats in a DA and they look pretty huge - but they look like they fit.. I'm 6'1 and sit high up as it is, but my seats also sit high.. the only car's I can compare seats with are 94+ integra's, and I fit in them no problem..

So my question is, has anyone given this one a shot - and if it's worth checking out.. I'm not sure about returning the seats for a refund, but I can always keep 'em and swap 'em into something else later on if need be..

Question two..

I have a 2 3/8s exhaust, with a resonator where my cat should be, and a huge behemoth of a weak *** exhaust where a normal muffler should be - 4" tip, I'm sure the muffler is ractive or something weak, so I obviously want to replace it..

Stock piping is 1.9" if I recall correctly, would it be a horrible idea swapping in a stock cat, and a stock muffler - as opposed to remaining cat-less and getting a stock muffler.. I want it to be quiet.. but I keep getting 1,000 dollar quotes for the entire exhaust, or 300 for the muffler / labour / random pipe bits, OEM..


Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance !

 

get a tanabe hyper medallion and call it a day... its 95 db's and lower

 

i was just quoted at about 160 for 2/5' exhaust from the cat to the muffler. but 1,000 , try searching the g2ic classifieds, i found a bunch of exhaust there for really good prices.

as for teh seats i cant really help there sorry

hey that happened to me before but not like as worse as yours but same reason too, i woke up late for school cus i went out the day before and i was late already,my teacher was a b*tch she took roll 5 mins after class started.so i jumped in my teg and speeded too school and i went down this street with the sun shining in my eyes i barely put it into 4th gear when im getting closer i see a stopped car on the street making a left turn i hit my brakes but they didnt stop all the way so i rear ended her but nothing happened to her car cus i just went under her higher than stock corolla or camry.and i just bent the hood back into place and went to school cus the lady let me go i was mad and it wasnt worth speeding to class trying to not get dropped from the class cus i stopped going

Heres my 91 GS teggy.. had it for about 2 yrs now. bought it from my cuzin, who was the 2nd owner and im lucky #3.. Ever since he bought the car, i had to had one. and been in love with them ever since.. the car has been well kept over the years. before he sold it over to me, he had parted it out and went bac to stock .. its not so bad b/c he had left the Xsi seats in them.
Currently im stockin up on parts for my n/a ls/vtak build..

recommendation for the application process... have the people trying to get in, to pm the people that accept for decline them in, and post up a build thread of everything done to your car and its lifetime since you bought it... kinda like the EH squad process
