xs manifold fail...

Default xs manifold fail...

Just go my turbo kit install about 5 days ago. Running about 5pnd of boost last night as i was pulling into a gas station the external waste gate and the tube that's connected to the manifold came of i didn't hear an explosion but came of the welding. Would would cause this?

Cheap XS Mani?

Waste gate Fail?

or What.

Poor quality welds, that's what you get with that manifold

Like stated already. the manifolds are cheap..and made with thin cheap metal...they almost always do that

Dam I thought these manifolds lasted for ever and were made by hard workers that's cared about the product........

hahahaha Those manifold always crack and fail....always. Like someone stated earlier just buy a cast mani if ur getting it off of egay. Im surprised u were able to hold only 5psi, mine wouldnt hold less than 13 even with a 5 psi tial wg. GL with ur warrenty lol.

yup, seen that happen a few times. As a few people have said before just go with something cast if you are on a budget, they will last forever and almost never crack. If not, i'm sure you can get your hands on an old drag/revhard or inlinepro manifold and call it a day

I also ran one of these manifolds on two of my vehicles worked great. A friend of mine wasn't so lucky and had this exact same thing happen to his.

Hahaha, that's the picture I took a few years back. That ruined a fresh TiAl 38mm WG and a B16's oil pan, not to mention ruining the owner's entire MONTH.

Trust me, their qualtity has NOT improved, and their "stainless" is still just as paper-thin. There's a recent post on R-HMT that shows another "new" CDM manifold where the WG ripped off too.
