hey i recently posted a thread about a loud backfire comin from my car. apparently the manifold gave way and now there a nice size hole where the wastegate used to be. i had to drive to my friends house basically with open headers and no boost. thank god i have a spare manifold.

Thats normal when you buy a cheap maini. Spend the money on a good one and you prolly wont have the problem and if for some reason you did you could send it back to get fixed for free

i have a spare cast manifold...better for boost anyway...gonna be one hell of a project today. i'll just have to drive my hyundai for now haha

You can probrabl pick up a Nukin manifold for a reasonable price. I have had cast manifolds crack also.

had the exact thing happen on an ebay kit a while back... sucks that a decent tubular mani starts in the $550 range..

went to my local muffler shop and they welded the manifold back together. made some new home made gaskets. car is running 10 times better. no more backfiring and exhaust leaks. sounds better...also building better boost much sooner and stronger. 5 hrs labor and $100
