willem programmer question (uberdata, 29c256 chip)
Hi I have just bought the standard Willem programmer and I want some inputs before I mess around with it.
this one:
I will be burning 29c256 chip with it, so how do I setup the thing to get it to work??
I have read the walkthrough on boosted-hybrid but this one is for the enhenced version willem programmer,,, so it's not the same thing. Can someone guide me a bit or give me some links to read about???
thanks in advance.

Download version 97g
set your DIP switches like the program says.
it will tell you to "jump" pins 3&31 when burning 29c256 chips. I just stick a small piece of wire in there.
Great burner for the price once you know how to use it.

Looking at the picture you posted above:
Pin #1 is the top left
Pin #32 is the top right
So it goes down then across then counts back up. Got it?
Just stick a SMALL piece of wire, or use the leg off a capacitor in pins 3 & 31

I used a male/female spade connector in the middle of the wire and soldered it into place from the bottom, you could just as easily use a switch. I also have some 27c's I use so it makes it easier to flip back and forth that way and you never have to worry about the wire falling out. GL!

Re: (raene)
I didn't put that jumper in place and never had problem with burning at29c256.
Maybe it's wrong and my chip will not last long. Someone can confirm me if it's wrong to not use it ?
