hey guys . every time i try to verify it says error at 000 0000.......why is this???
and ill try to burn a chip and the car will sputter and shut off.......

 

did u try to read the chip? maybe it didnt write properly, and hence ur car's sputtering. my guess is a bad chip. try a different one. and also, get the latest programmer (software) from willem's website.

 

I have a bad chip that always gives that error.

 

i have tried alot of different chips , these are 2 brand new 29c256 chips from moates.net. what else can i be doing wrong?

ok , i got a chip to burn , and then read the chip and saved it , i then looked at the data i saved from the chip verses the original bin file , and they were the same , but when i put it in my car , the fuel pump doesnt prime. and the car will will sputter and not start.
why is this?
btw this is beerbongs new map he made for 1.66 , i think ill try to reburn his old map to see if it works . this is my first time burning a map i had a friend put beerbongs map onto a chip for me.

anything else i could be doing wrong to get the car not to start?

 

Make sure the chip is in the right direction and the back of the chip is closest to the swing arm on the green zif socket

wht motor and ecu combo are you running?? cuz the fuel pump not coming on sounds like a compatability issue.

 

i have a p28 with a y8 motor . it works fine with my other uberdata map.....

 

open the map that u wanna use, with the UD version it was made with. check if all the sensors and stuff are selected right in the misc tab.
why not try making your own basemap? im sure it'll be more or less the same as using someone else's map.

 

i tried numerous maps....still cant get this thing to work....ill burn it , it says everything burned ok , then i read the chip and look at it in uberdata , everything looks ok . go to put it in my car and turn the key , i get a cel and my fuel pump doesnt prime , try to start it and it sputters but wont start....put my other chip in , runs like a champ.

 

wht program is in that other working chip?? copy that, and burn it onto a chip and use that. lemme know if you still get the code or not.

 

ive tried a few maps , all yield the same thing. im using beerbongs first map in right now . car runs fine . i want his new map and i cant seem to burn it . i didnt burn the chip in there now....

just thought i would throw this out. For some reason when i was helping cyphear tune his car it wouldn't work with a laptop. Only a desktop. We tried 2 different laptops and multiple cords yet it wouldn't work. Hooked it up to a desktop and worked perfectly.

 

well now i can get the program to burn just fine , but it doesnt work in my car for some reason.....i dont get why.

 

his would burn, then verify fine. but when you plugged it in the car wouldn't do anything.

 

hmm..thats wierd...
try different programmers. they have a few on the willem website.
if that doesnt work, try a diff. computer like tegmech said.

turns out i just got a couple bad burns , and the other bin i was tryin to burn was bad.
