AEM EMS?? Blowing Coil Drivers Common?
You guys blowing coil drivers at all? They had to fix my coil drivers before, and I have had it for about 3 weeks now no problem. Last night I was doing some road tuning and all of a sudden at about 6k the car just shuts off. Gas pedal was not working and etc.. I thought I blew the motor. Anyways had to tow the car home last night and it sucked ***.
It would start for just a second and then just shut off. I started to diagnose the problem. Main relay, Fuel Pump..etc etc..Checked for spark and I had spark..
But just for the heck of it I changed from Coil Output 1 to 5 on my 1010 box and BAM. Sprung to life and sounded just as good as before.
What's the deal, are the drivers just weak?

Yes I was blowing coil drivers like nuts on my old car. I was running version .94 and once I went back to .89 the problem went away. I am running 1.03 now and have not had any issues. (knock on wood)
I even blew a coil driver once when I disconnected my battery and reconnected it.
