Default Will this setup work?

Wassup guys, i'm looking to build a boost setup. i'm gonna run

b18b block
b16a2 head
ls rods
ls crank
acl race bearings
p30 pistons
skunk2 cams stage 1 turbo
skunk2 intakem manifold
h22 throttle body
b16 lsd trans
ls/vtec oil kit
cometic headgasket
arp head studs
arp rod bolts.

Will this setup hold 350whp? i'm looking to probably run a sc61 turbo, maybe no more than 12psi. I built a ls/vtec setup before but with eagle rods and pistons and only ran 350whp. I'm figuring this time around i might be able to do it with oem parts. Will the oem LS rods handle 350whp? And will the p30 pistons bump up the compression way too much? i was looking on a compression calculator and it was putting me at 12:21 compression. is that too much for a daily driven boost car? thanks for all the advice in advance.

I know people are going to say things about they like having a high compression turbo motor, but to me that is going to be way too much to run on that setup, you should just leave the pr4 pistons in it.

well i heard once upon a time that the b16 pistons were a better piston. better material and what not. if they're identical other than the compression then i'd stay with the ls piston since i don't have to notch the rods/piston to make them fit.

I wasn't saying anything about the "better" piston I was saying that 12:21 comp. ratio is a lot of compression. I haven't heard any major differences in material, but that would be something to look up actually.. I'm going to see what I can find on that.

i understand exactly what you said. 12:2 is a lot of compression for a FI motor. That's why i made this thread, i think it's too much but it's def possible that the calculator i used is not correct. I've heard of people running this setup before but i've never seen it first hand. And i've never heard of it being boosted. I did hear that the b16 piston was a better quality piston but I don't know that for sure. If not, then the LS pistons will stay in the build.

yeah, I was going to go with the p30 pistons on my ls/vtec build that I was going to do all motor, but didn't since I went turbo. You are right though, the calculator could've been off and everything. Either way good luck on the build.

b16 pistons have weak ringlands from what i've heard and experienced personally. its hit and miss with them though. i would go with the pr4 pistons. just my 2 cents
