why does my turbo only boost at 6 psi in 3rd and 4th but 8 in first and second, with manual boost co
Hey my boost it only running at 4, 5, or 6 pounds sometimes in third and fourth gear but in first and second it always runs at 8. I have a homeade boost controller on it. If i downshift to third my boost will shoot up to the right spot though. what could be causing this?

wastegate spring.......what does your car boost at w/o any controller?

4 pounds, thats about what it boosts at sometimes in third and 4th too

Ditch the homemade boost controller. Its probably a POS. (no offense) If you want a cheap MBC, you can find them online for under $50.

We just put a TurboXS manual controller on Anthony K's car and it worked great
