just wondering. I've been reading bout problems with b&m's. I've got one that I haven't put in. Im going turbo within the month and was wondering who all's running a stock fuel pressure regulator sucessfully. Im getting hondata w/440 injectors and installing a 255lph intank pump as soon as i sell my nitrous. any input appreciated, tahnks

theres no reason not to go with stock with hondata (as long as you have injectors that can meet your hp goal) Im using 450's, hondata and walbro 255hp

I use a stock one. 10 psi, 450 DSM's, chiped ECU using Crome. (stock b16a3 fuel pump too)

No probs.... and there is no reson to spend the $$$ if you don't need to.

Good luck

So a stock FPR can control the 255 with no problem or does the pressure rise and you just trim the injectors to compensate?

Good luck!~

johnyquest - did you have to re-tune your afc after the pump install or did you do it all at once? I'm running the hack with stock pump at 9psi. I'm starting to get nervous about my old fuel pump and want to just drop in a 255. sounds like it will work

I first did the hack w/o being turbo. The next day, I installed the fuel pump. Or, maybe it was the other way around. The AFC is not somthing that really has to be "tuned" per say, regardless of what people say. You retard the dizzy enough to eliminate all knock, mine had to go half way between the dead on mark and that other mark that hanging out way over in right field. Then, set your afc to somthing like -34 @ 1krpm low throttle, -36 across the rest, and -37 across high throttle. If those settings work for me, they'll work for you. Maybe 1% difference here or there. You just have to learn how your car reacts to changes on the afc. If I go too lean @ idle, my a/f stops bouncing around, meaning the ECU has lost control of the AFR because i've gone too lean, out of it's bounds of adjustment. If I go too lean it will also make the throttle really sensitive and cause the car to buck. If I go to rich, it will bog when I try to gas it real fast. You need to find the happy medium. It's easy.

-Good luck!
