Default White Smoke?

Alright so my car blows a lot of white smoke out of the exhaust only when I hit boost. It idles fine and drives without hitting boost perfectly normal. At first I thought the seals in the turbo were bad so I took off the intercooler piping and there was no oil in there, so the turbo isn't leaking any oil. So now I think its due to my head lifting at boost causing it to leak coolant. Wouldn't the pressure push air into the coolant jackets and not suck coolant into the combustion chamber? Well Im not exactly sure what to think of it at the moment... Anyone have any advice?

-Mike

what about a blown headgasket? any overheating problems? foamy coolant, darker colored coolant? what you really need to do is get a leakdown test as well as a compression test and post up the results, any local shop can do it. what block do you have, and is it stock or built? post up your mods.

No need for a lekadown. Just do a compression test. Make sure there isn't 2 cylinders that are right next to each other that are low. If the compression test checks out OK then get some head studs or use a higher torque on the headstuds. Is this an SOHC?

This is a stock d16y8 (sohc) motor. There are no overheating problems, and the coolant and oil are completely fine.

My return line is also a little kinked, nothing bad though. Could this be part of the reason too?

you definitely wanna get that fixed as well, that'll lead to other problems with the turbo itself
