Default tons of white smoke

Here's another post guys, I did a fmax turbo on my 97 ls and just pours out white smoke and coolant is leaking out the exhaust (leaking between cat and exhaust), we swapped the stock headgasket for a cometic gasket and still same problem. Got the head inspected and pressure tested by a shop and everything is fine. The sleeves on the block look fine what is going on?.. other things that are doing on besides the white smoke is we are getting a lot by blow-by and the oil in the head was milky sludge, doesn't boost, I have 94 ls block I can swap if needed sorry for the long post.

So is the turbo water cooled?

Honestly if you are leaking coolant out of your exhaust i would think that one of your sleeves may be cracked, but you said your sleeves LOOK ok. Did you make sure there are not any hairline fractures in the cylinder walls or any unusual abrasive patterns? Have you done a compression test or cylinder leakdown test on the motor yet? Since you swapped the headgasket and the problem is still there, i would put my money that internal damage has occured or the deck of your block is warped near one of the water jackets. It is quite possible that your piston has been damaged as well. Let us know what your compression numbers yield and if your turbo is water cooled and we'll go from there.

If he's got a bog standard FMAX, then his tubo is a turbonetics t3/t4 (probably a AR .48)...so its oil cooled.

I suspect that everthing looks good in the HG area, it could be one or more of the following:

1. hairline crack in the sleeves
2. head bolts are stretched
3. sheer coincence or bad luck (another bad HG??)

Check your oil to see if its even oil in there. You may have to start up the car to see, but if its just watery instead of oily, then most likely you have a blown headgasket and coolent is making itsway into the motor and mixing with the oil. That usually gives clouds of white smokr from the rear of the car.

the turbo isn't water cooled, and the compression with the fmax headgasket from cylinder 1-4 reads 60,70,150,100 terrible
