I would laugh about what you said but I really can't, sorry. Nothing against you cuz how would you know, but relieving pressure from my head isn't something I can laugh about anymore. It's cool tho, I'm not mad

I have a 96 GSR motor in my civic. The black box is intact, and there are (apparently) two hoses coming off of it. One to the block, and one to the PCV valve, then to the IM.
As I have it right now, there is no PCV valve - the 2nd hose goes from the black box to the IM straight I believe (don't remember).
Can I just run the 1st hose from the black box to the block (OEM), run the 2nd hose to the ground, and run a breather on my valve cover?</TD></TR></TABLE>
good info in this thread, i just boosted my gsr and i want to try this. now like boostincoupe said...on my black box, one hose goes straight to my IM. and the other hose goes into the block. and i put a breather on the valve cover.
so does this mean i don't have a PCV valve? where is the PCV valve located? anyone have pics? is it on the block somewhere? and if it is...seeing as my hoses have bypassed it...what should i do about removing it/drilling it/etc?

Re: (igo4bmx)
Okay so this has probably been posted already, but...
I'm thinking I'm going to keep the black box, plug the ports to the IM/block (and throw away the PCV), put 5/8" barbed fittings in both ports, then run high-temp hoses from both ports to a vented, baffled catch can in the upper part of the engine bay. Breather on the valve cover.
How's that work?
