does a catchcan need a breather/vacuum source???
today i decided to use a coolant reservoir from an ef as my catchcan for my lsvtec turbo. the car gets coolant passing by and the reservoir is bigger than my rre catchcan.
i dont have any breather or vacuum hooked up to this one though, would it still be ok to use. should i put a hole in it or something to let it drain pressure when im under boost??? take a look, what do you guys think?

so you removed the valve completely?
You will need to add some holes in the top of the resevoir, your going to want to add like 15 small to medium holes in it... basically you want that route to be the route of least restriction for your blowby gasses, more holes the better but dont go too crazy as your limited somewhat by that tiny hose...
for reference most setup use -10 or -12 an lines which are very large...
But yeah im just rambling now, add some holes on top and ur good

haha its ok i get what you are saying. im contemplating putting a barb fitting in the reservoir and running the hose back to my intake right before my turbo, which is the way ive had it for a long time.

Re: (blackeg)
ok i put maybe 6-8 holes in the top, around the cap basically. hoping this will let the pressure out while still retaining any fluid that builds up.
