Default what's the difference between electrical and mechanical boost gauge ?

how do they work differently ?
and which would you recommend ? is it the same myth as electrical is easy to install, but too accurate, versus, mechanical is a little harder to install but very accurate ...

electrical boost gauges have a sending unit that turns boost into an electrical signal that it sends to the display. they are more accurate. With the mechanical gauge you have to run tubing to the gauge and they tend to be not as accurate.

I saw arturbo's Greddy boost gauge...it looks like a GM MAP Sensor is the 'sending unit'. I could be wrong about it being GM it was dark...
